Didn’t get our room cleaned until fourth day of our five day stay. Pretty much self service when it came to anything, towels, bedding, coffee. Large guy that ran the front desk was totally useless. Dirty room poorly maintained hotel. TV worked occasionally unless you wanted to watch it. Would I stay there again or recommend Sturgis Lodge and suite? Fat chance!

This place is a dump. I didn't expect a 5 star stay in Sturgis but this place is awful. Room was dirty, no remote for TV, chair that looked like it was garbage picked, bathroom was dirty, carpeting was nasty. The list goes on and on.

The beds were confront able but we were in a room by pool and the clorine smell was over whelming and the air unit was very loud and there was pound noise coming from wall my wife asked to be moved to another room and they had empty rooms but the desk clerk said he didn’t have the authority to put us in other room. The ground outside were very dirty with cigarette buts and cat food scattered on the deteriorating walk way and garbage can overflowing with trash, found a hair in my biscuit and gravy when doing there breakfest and not mine or my wifes

This property had much to be desired. The gentleman at the desk was as helpful as he could be. The 1st room - the exterior door wouldn't even close all the way/lock. When I called the front desk the manager asked if we tried closing the door hard - the answer was yes (but it wouldn't close all of the way). We had just walked in and just gently pushed the door and NOT requiring a key to enter the room. To accommodate our needs for safety and a locking door, we were given a second room - this room looked as though someone had already slept in the bed and a dirty towel was draped over a chair - when I tried to call the front desk, I realized the phone line had been cut. Third room - was given a suite. It was better than the other two (and we kept this room); however, overall feeling of cleanliness was lacking. The pool and hot tub were nice amenities to have access to. Lastly, a hot breakfast was advertised - we got there 30 minutes before breakfast ended. Biscuits & gravy had been served, but there was none left - no muffins - and a partial gallon of milk was available for cereals. Fresh made waffles were ok. Juice tasted like powdered orange juice and the apple juice was watered down. Coffee was decent.

They are remodeling, the room I had smelled pretty bad but my febreeze fixed that. It is an older motel, but you can see they are trying. Pool and hot tub area looks great! Staff at check in was very pleasant.

The checkin guy was great. The lobby was clean but halways and pool area very dirty. Breakfast waffles were the only thing good. There was no butter. Milk was in a self serve jug. The moring breakfast attendant could only say, "but it free." This place is a dump.

The room was filthy. There was feces in the toilet, a used dirty towel hung in the bathroom, dirty counters, and I didn’t feel comfortable showering in the dirty shower after a really long day of traveling. My family and I were really itchy on the beds, too. There had been break ins that made me nervous at this place being with my children. I didn’t alert the staff (he really was nice), we just left and tirelessly drove on and got a room somewhere else.

First room we got had the most horrible smell and no coffee maker, even tho one was advertised. Thankfully we were moved right away. Second room still smelled bad, no coffee maker and the air conditioner did not work. Thankfully they had a fan for us to use. We had that room for two nights. On the third day, our door lock broke and they could not fix it so we were moved again. This time we got a gorgeous suite, with a coffee maker and an air conditioner that worked. All in all, the beds were extremely comfortable.

We had a toom that overlooksd a sunset from 2nd floor, the room was spacious , clean and have all amenties. Bed was comofetable. Its right by the freeway and mext door to a gas station.
