"We would definitely stay in this cabin again and recommend it to others. It was nicely updated, clean and very quiet. I would just recommend they check the fireplace and leave specific directions, as we couldn't get the controller to turn it on."

"We fish this area a couple times a year and this place is perfect for a couple of guys who fish 12 hours days for 3 days and need a clean place to sleep. Staff has alway been great, and rooms always clean, don’t leave any thing your car of value, because it won’t be there in the morning. "

"When we checked in, the internet or their key card device wasn’t working. So it took a while for everyone to check in. The staff gave us gift cards to the nearby Dutch Bros to compensate us. So that was nice. The rooms have been renovated. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was very new but it didn’t have a mattress cover. Luckily the mattress was newer and clean. Wish there was a microwave in the room. We stayed for two nights."
"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Arcata. If you love historic hotels with lots of character, this is a great place to stay. I loved the vintage feel, especially the grand staircase, halls with pictures and historic facts, and the classic bathtubs in the rooms.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. Just don't expect a full buffet—it's more of a light continental breakfast with fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and waffles, which was enough to get the day started.
Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Parking can be a little tricky, but the hotel provides a parking pass. Since I was traveling solo, I didn't mind the short walks and actually enjoyed exploring more of the town. I can see how parking might be a bit more challenging for families or anyone traveling alone with young children.
Overall, I loved my stay at Hotel Arcata and would definitely stay there again. It has a unique charm that made my visit to Arcata even more memorable."
"rooms, towels and sheets were clean. staff was very helpful and friendly. ice maker was broken, workout room equipment needs some help- treadmill was stuck at an incline and the bikes were not easy to not able to be adjusted. breakfast was subpar, eggs were terrible (maybe it was just our luck that day) and less variety than you would think for a place like this, however they did have a make your own waffle option which is great for the kids.
good enough for what you paid for overall though."
Holiday Inn Express Arcata / Eureka - Airport Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel, as near as you can get to the Redwood parks - so much closer than the town of Arcata or Eureka. Beautiful lobby and modern, bright hotel. Fabulous, spacious bedrooms and everything spotlessly clean. Nice touch to have choc chip cookies in the lobby and a nice coffee machine. Good self service laundry.
Breakfast could be better. OJ with no flavour. Hot options were pre-prepared and not very appetising. A bowl of fruit would be nice.
No hairdryer in the room, which I found strange!"
