This was a great location for us right in Gamla Stan (the old town). Many restaurants, shops and museums close by - easy to walk to. Took taxis when visiting other attractions on other islands. We were a little concerned about the shared bathroom but there were 4 separate toilet/shower rooms within the actual restroom which worked out well.

Only economy rooms use shared bathrooms. All regular room are complete with ensuite bathrooms and complete facilities. Please choose the desired room type from the menu upon make your reservation. You may also buy an upgrade upon arrival at the hotel. Thank you for staying!

A little humble and modest hotel, in a brilliant and unbeatable location, it's walkable to everywhere. Staff are super friendly and helpful, they gave me parking advice, and walked extra miles to provide me a kattle, a recharge adaptor and a heater. Truly grateful

RECOMMENDED BUDGET HOTEL IN GAMLA STAN STOCKHOLM
Best location in Gamla Stan in central Stockholm and close to most famous tourism objects. Easy to access with cars/taxi or walk from central station. Reasonable price with nice facilities, TV, hair dryers, towel, big room and comfort bed. And we have a comfort room with nice view out of the window. We booked for the room with share bathrooms but it's well maintain, very clean with some plants there. It also have some individual bathroom out of the rooms. No worries then. Elevator is always ready and quite big for 4 peoples with luggages. Overall it's very good and recommended hotel in Gamla Stan area. Check in also quite fast and easy. Only 1 critic for the reception person.. smile more, be kind and more friendly to your customers.. not like a robot/maschine with has no expressions 😅😅 (you are in hospitality business anyway) .

Good Hotel in Old Town on Quiet Street
Room was large and clean. Bathroom had no shelf or place to put toiletries. Only 1 towel each, no hand towels. Food and coffee were available to purchase for breakfast or snack. Coffee was good and price was cheaper than outside hotel. Hotel was very convenient for going to VASA museum and ABBA museum by ferry. One bus line went by on main Street close by. Metro was a 10-14 minute walk away over cobblestones. Reception was friendly and very helpful. Cab to Central train station was about $22 and $75 to airport. I suggest they put a shelf or a little rolling cart in bathroom for toiletries. Check out the one used in Scandic Continental. We had a good stay. Harbor and lots of restaurants were close by.

Great location in the old town or Gamla Stan. Walkable thru the whole area and close to the bus stop to go to museums and other places. Also close to the dock. I couldn't be happier with this hotel, the room was impeccable, same with the toilets which are shared but they keep them very clean. Hotel is quiet but our room's window was to the street so expect outdoor noise.

The motto on the door is “A place to stay” and that is what this place is :) I really can’t stress how no frills it is (1 towel per guest, 1 roll toilet paper, no tissues, housekeeping only by request, etc.), but for the price and the location it is a good place for a few nights! The room was surprisingly spacious, and the location is perfect.

I somehow forgot the saying “you get what you pay for.” This was a low budget option. They reviews looked enough, but I clearly did not much attention to the negative reviews about street noise. Granted, they were loud, obnoxiously drunk Americans. If you know drunk Americans you understand how loud they are. The hotel cannot control the street noise, but they can make the street noise less loud with the right windows, etc. There is no air conditioning, it a fan would have done wonders. There were no toiletries provided. The shared bathrooms were clean and convenient to the room. The location was better than perfect. I did change hotels on my last night to the BW around the corner which I highly recommend.

There was a note to “drunk boys and girls” from the staff that misbehavior would not be tolerated . Unfortunately the drunk boys and girls did not listen and banged on the walls and yelled into the 3 am time. The room was great and very clean with a great bed. The bath was shared but the drunk boys and girls slept in so there was no problem in the morning getting a shower. There were plenty of bathrooms on my floor and they were very clean and well maintained. Be aware NO toiletries. Awesome location 30m from the old town center, Royal Palace, and water taxi to the Vasa Museum island.

My room was large and clean and quiet. The bed was a bit soft for my liking but that may be a personal preference. No way to darken the room’s the big windows. Shared bathroom facilities clean and no problem. Convenient location.

The gentleman at check in was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay although if you plan to sleep it you may not be able to. The sound of people outside is easily heard and light shines through the blinds. The location is amazing.

We have stayed here 2 times now. The first time we were in a big room on 3rd floor with table and chairs. Over all a good room. However on our most recent visit we were put in room 105. It has 3 beds and no table. Our main complaint is that there is a very bright street lamp just outside the window and the curtains to the room amdont reach the bottom of the window and dont block any light. Because of this the room never got dark. We were also able to see straight into the windows of the building opposite and because the curtains didnt go to the bottom of the window it means they were able to see into our room!

The location of the hotel is fabulous! Lots of shops and cafes just steps away. Castle Inn is a clean, basic hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The beds and linens are comfortable. The showers are hot and the internet is very good. A nice touch is having complimentary coffee, tea and cookies. Soda, bottled water and sandwiches at a very affordable cost. The Inn does not provide breakfast. The $9 breakfast fee is for a close by bakery. I would stay here again

Was okay for a night or two, wouldn’t recommend a long stay. Shared bathrooms aren’t ideal, but it is what it is. There is nowhere to hang anything in the rooms. There aren’t really any amenities. Best part was the location in the old town.
