Room was clean but there was only enough hot water for one shower. There were two of us. Second person had ice water. The blinds were broken and had two holes in them so people could see in.

If you’re bringing your pet you better call the hotel directly since you don’t check in with a person but a code for the room. I have stayed at least 5 times with my small dog. When leaving the maid was outside and gave me dirty looks but never said anything? I then received a call from the hotel giving me an interrogation about the dog. She told me the room I was in doesn’t allow dogs. I told her last time I stayed in that room they allowed dogs. She told me the rules have changed. Not staying there again even if I don’t bring my dog!

They are rebuilding after the hurricane's and the location is beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Parking was easy. The sites are beautiful. Also room for parking with boat trailer too.

Not recommended

The pics online are deceptive. It looks ok on outside. Stairs are much steeper than they appear online. Rooms so tight there’s barely walking space on sides near wall-it’s also only place to hang a FEW clothes. No place to put a suitcase except on bed. Bathroom so small you can barely close door. Shower ok. The window unit was pushing musty air and the wall beside it so soft you could put your hand right through it If you enjoy loud bar music, screaming drunk people and people vomiting bear you throughout the night - this is the place for you

I have stayed there several times. Its a great place, but the cottages could use a little maintenance. New shower heads and some flooring. But those will not keep me from coming. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and the property is super convenient for what we want. The staff are always friendly. Other than a few maintenance needs, i cant say much bad about the place. Will definitely book again in the future. We love it there.

There are old and new units available. We were not made aware of this at booking. Basic doesn't begin to describe the older units. Although advertised as pet friendly, they refused to allow us to upgrade to a newer unit. So we stayed just one night as the older unit was unacceptable. On the bright side, all of the staff were polite, kind and helpful, and they readily agreed to refund our second night.

No thanks.

Do not stay here, unless you like staying in a box, with very poor air conditioning. I think our deck outside was as big as our room. Sink for restroom immediately as you entered your room. As you sit on the toilet, you can reach the very narrow shower, directly in front of you. The bed was no more, at best, a full size. I will say, if I wasn't with my husband, it would have been comfy. Fir 2 people, no way. The AC is a " window unit". They basically cut a whole in the wall. " Tried to" frame it with wood, but you could see outside through the gaps. We had it on 62 degrees the whole weekend and still couldn't have any covers on us at night because it was not cool in there, at all. I'm fine with rustic, but this place is way worse, than rustic. If you insist on staying here, make sure you are on the river side. NOT across the street.They told us at check in, they had a prime rib/seafood buffet for 59.99 Decided to go there for dinner. We had reservations for 11 people. After waiting a while, they said they could seat us, but it wouldn't be together. No problem. Buffet was not stocked with food. Ran out of everything. Those that ordered from menu, they came back & said, they are out of every kind of potato . Brought out Burnt rock hard hush puppies. 2, got their meal way after everyone else. Shrimp and fish tacos not edible, then they had the audacity to put a 20% gratuity on a check because of a party of 10 or more. WE COULDN'T EVEN SIT TOGETHER. Everything terrible
