"Clean and spacious room (we stayed in the honeymoon suite). Shower and whirlpool bath both had plenty of water flow, but variable temperature depending on demand by other guests… Fairly dark at night, but no blackout curtains, so might be too much light for some. Noisy due to loud motorcycles and cars in the small streets surrounding the hotel, but fortunately noise did not last late into the night. Efficient air conditioning. Breakfast offering reasonably varied, but hot items were sometimes cold. Automated coffee machine, decent quality, but disappointing for coffee aficionados. Located within easy walking distance of old port and chora. All in all, a good hotel, would stay here again, but would consider exploring alternatives."

"The breakfast was cooked to order and flexible as to types of eggs and meat. The staff were so friendly and excellent. Check in/out with Anastasia was efficient and seamless. Being on the edge of town has its benefits!"

"Our stay at Makava Suites was wonderful from start to finish. The rooms exceeded our expectations and were even better in person than in the photos. Everything was spotless, and both the bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff were incredibly responsive, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience on the island. Having on-site parking made our rental car experience seamless, and the rooftop hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a full day of exploring. Overall, I would highly recommend Makava!!!"

"This is a beautiful little hotel with a wonderful location and very friendly owners. The breakfast buffet was a great perk. Unfortunately, it wasn’t warm enough in late April to get in the pool but we enjoyed the view. Everything was clean and the family running it took great care to meet our every need."

"Plus points, charming, small, family run hotel in quiet location close to town centre. Breakfast was very impressive! Minus points, very little storage space (no drawers in bedroom or shower room). Family on site speak very little english. In spite of minus points we loved the place"
