「The hotel was very calm and quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. The 415 bus to York was easy to access. A good choice available for breakfast. Evening mesls st the Fat Abbott pub were fantastic. Lovely pub with great good. Cloisters Spa was really good and i enjoyed an excellent full body swedish massage. Excellent. Relaxing 2 night stay, just what I needed. 」

「Fabulous hotel. The food was first class, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We stayed in one of the cottages. everything was excellent, clean and comfortable, all the facilities you would except were available. If I am being pedantic, the decor in the cottage was dated compared to the main hotel, but some may love the styling. We will definitely stay again 」

「Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District. Only down side was that we couldn't connect to their internet.」

「Superb apart from noise in room from air conditioning bank on outside ground below bedroom. Sleepless first night but reception brilliant next morning and arranged to move room away from noise. 」
