The tree house rooms were excellent, the team on reception & in the bar/restuarant were brilliant. The breakfast was always fresh, varied & tasty. All in all this visit was flourless, well done Fermain valley hotel

Air conditioning - there isn't any! My room was like a sauna and it made it very difficult to sleep. The staff tried to help with a mobile air con unit but to limited effect. Otherwise, the stay was lovely, staff superb, wonderful breakfast. Also, be aware that the "cheaper" rooms are a long way from the main hotel - bit cheeky really.

Lovely staff at this wonderful hotel. Staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was a real treat, with lots to choose from. Room was clean and had a lovely view of the sea. There was ample parking, although we didn’t use it. Hotel very near a bus stop. Three very nice restaurants to choose from too.

Staff fantastic... breakfast excellent...food good...not happy about auto tip on food bills I know we can take it off but doesn't sit well Really disappointed that the pool was out of action...we were told we could use the sister hotel but we didn't have transport so that wasn't going to be easy...it's a shame because the pool was one of the reasons we booked. Our room though did have a marvellous view of the bay.

When we booked it was stated in the brochure that a shuttle bus was available which unfortunately was not the case during our stay. This was exacerbated by the fact that there were roadworks ongoing and no local buses could access the road at the hotel which resulted in our requiring to use the taxi service. In the circumstances it would have been reasonable for the hotel to have provided transport for guests to the nearest bus route ,that being St Martins. We had requested a walk-in shower and unfortunately this was not provided. If a guest has requested a walk in shower then at the very least a grab handle should be provided in the bath. If a guest did not wish to eat Mexican food then the options presented are very limited and the food in the Ocean restaurant lacked any flair sadly. Our stay in the hotel was blighted by the lack of transport and the expense of taxis. These were our issues and we hope that the management will consider them for the comfort of future guests.

Lovely treehouse room, breakfast was awesome… possible one of the best I have had. Location is fantastic… only downside for me this time was pool and spa closed. But I guess they gave to maintain them sometime.

Staff, accommodation and food were great, though staying for 10 days we virtually had every dish from The Ocean menu! It did get a bit boring! The Mexican restaurant was very noisy and service was poor, and we only went there once because of that. Disappointed that we weren’t told beforehand about the lack of Spa activities due to staff illness. We were looking forward to the odd experience and they were not available unless we went into St Peter Port. The road closure was also a problem which the hotel would have known before we arrived, but we were not told beforehand. That made travel by bus a lot more difficult and we used more taxis than we anticipated. My room on most days was not cleaned until after 3pm and the only alternative I had was to put the sign on the door or stay downstairs. The shower in my room was only possible by holding it over my head, not a 4/5 star experience! It just did not feel like the quality hotel it was advertised as, and despite the magnificent views I doubt we’d stay there again. It was only rescued by the quality of the staff!!

Nous avons été surpris d’apprendre que la piscine n’était pas en service. D’autres part, nos chambres étaient juste au dessus du restaurant et nous avons subi les fortes odeurs de friture par la vmc de la salle d’eau. À part cela, l’hôtel est très agréable et bien situé.

Hervorragendes Frühstück mit vegetarischen Optionen. Idyllische Lage in einer ruhigen Bucht, dennoch fußläufig zu St. Peter Port (ca. 45 Minuten auf dem Küstenpfad, schneller an der Straße entlang). Auch im Winter lohnt sich ein Besuch.

Hotel had great view and breakfast / lunch on the terrace looking down the valley to sea was very nice. Food in all three restaurants was good, although the steak place you cook your own so menu limited and cooking quality down to you. The pool was not available during our stay which was disappointing as it was late May, so not exactly out of season. One or two of parts of the garden (wooden fences giving way) and breakfast room (seats in booths) were beginning to look a little worn. The Tree House experience was very nice - no TV, no real distractions - only odd bit is a the door is a patio window and opens directly onto the walkway for other rooms to/from hotel. The hot tun was also unavailable during out visit.

We stayed 3 nights but wish it could have been longer. Lovely location (our room had a sea view) and you could walk down to the little beach but quite a steep climb coming back ! We did take friends down to the beach for lunch one day but without any notice the cafe was closed so that was a bit disappointing. The pool in the hotel was also closed but they did offer use of the pool at their sister hotel ( but decided it was too much bother) Breakfasts were amazing. All the staff (except one) were super efficient and friendly giving us great advise and service. One member of staff deserves a particular mention and that is Catia on reception . She was incredible and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay her again ❤️
