「It was a pleasure to stay with Shona this week. Very friendly and prompt communication. Upon arrival was a friendly welcome and tour of the property which was modernly styled, very spacious, and immaculate. The large kitchen has no shortage of storage, fridge/freezer space, very large oven, hobs, pans, crockery, utensils etc. and spacious dining area for 8, couldn't ask for more!!! 「We had a lovely time at The Royal Hotel. The staff were all very nice and chatty. The breakfasts were amazing and the room was very comfortable. We would highly recommend The Royal Hotel to anybody planning a visit to Stromness. 」

「The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights.」

「What a wonderful stay.. Graham, Sarah and Claire were such lovely hosts nothing to much trouble very accommodating from checking in to checking out.. Breakfast was excellent each morning cooked to order and evening meals were fantastic especially the fish and chips and homemade tartar sauce was so yummy.. The rooms are clean with lovely bedding and fantastic views of the beautiful island.. Can't wait to go back.. 」

「We recently enjoyed our holiday stay at the Lindisfarne bed and breakfast in Stromness. This was our first visit to the Orkney Islands and we stayed there for two weeks. Kevin and Debbie were our host's at the B and B. They both looked after us superbly. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We will most certainly be returning and cannot find the word's to thank both Debbie and Kevin for their fantastic hospitality. 」

「We had a wonderful time at Burnside during our road trip through Scotland. Our suite was comfortable and provided all we needed. We loved walking around the tranquil setting and making friends with the local sheep. Our host was friendly, attentive, and the food wonderful. She lent us binoculars and guided us to the best places to see puffins. We’re happy we had the opportunity to stay there.」
