Best stay during our 25 day New Zealand trip. Amazing accommodations in a quiet country side beautiful environment. Very much worth the pleasant country drive if you are planning on visiting around Christchurch. The hostess is second to none both in attention to your stay and in knowledgeable guidance for your travels.

Barbara was a gracious host and stayed up to let us in after midnight from our flight & showed us to our room. A lot of effort & thought on her behalf to make us welcome and feel comfortable. For the next two weeks all I heard from my wife as we travelled around NZ was that the coffee was not as good as Barbara’s and she missed her homemade waffles

Chateau Pritchard had everything that we need with a warm welcome to very clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast server on time, dining and lounge area were also clean and tidy. Homely environment with history and character and the kindest soul behind it all. Perfect for family environment or for someone who wants peace of mind.
