Room was clean, staff friendly. Breakfast poor, rock hard, inedible muffins, no spoons, no hot water, no tea. Staff is friendly but stretched too thin to provide help.

Apple Tree Inn, it was a old-vintage vibe. I can tell these used to be apartments. We rented a room that had 2 queen size beds and 2 twin beds. The layout was indeed spacious. It had a full kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, full refridgerator), the beds were not horrible (firm), clean. The property was not in a bad area of Spokane, quiet on the property. I will definitely go through them again with myself and my kids. The breakfast was basic (muffin, granola bar, hot cocoa, juice, water, coffee, oatmeal). Luckily, very close to a walmart, safeway, mcdonalds.
Only reason I stayed here was because there was a deal for half off the 3 bedroom (2 queen beds and 2 twin). We reserved and went to property, but the guy without saying a word switched us to the smallest room (1 bed). We had to go back and he insisted despite proof of our reservation that we had to pay twice as much if we wanted our initial room.
Once we paid the additional price, we were given a decent sized room. The shower didn't drain, the toilet gasket leaked, the wall boards were moldy, someone else's food was in the kitchen, the dishwasher was not anchored and almost fell on my daughter, there was glass on the floor of one bedroom, lightbulbs were missing, one step on the stairs is halfway broken off...we paid for one more night while we made other arrangements. The new guy at the counter was just as rude and entitled.
I see now why this hotel is more known for drug dealers and prostitutes. Not family friendly or any other kind of friendly.

Desk Clerk was polite and helpful. We asked for a 1st floor room because stairs are a problem with my handicap.
When parked by the room, there were two steps up to the door which led to a landing where the choice was 6 steps
up the stairs or 5 steps down the stairs. Room was not what was expected - Just generally unsatisfactory. Did not meet the expectations of the descriptions in the advertisements.

The motel was older and could use a facelift but it was very clean, comfortable bed and OK for a good nights sleep which is all we wanted. It was very affordable and the front desk lady was nice and helpful.
The smell was absolutely horrible - and it lingers on everything I had with me on the trip. Carpets were filthy & stained. Comforter & blankets had numerous old cigarette burns all over them. Mattress VERY old and worn out. There was a wooden block under my bed holding the middle of the sagging bed up. The upholstered chair was covered in stains. The towels were very small worn and scratchy. There were gross fingerprint sized globs of an unknown substance on the remote. I was supposed to be in a non-smoking room but the overwhelming smell of old cigarette burn was everywhere - in all the halls and entryways and throughout the room. The smell was so bad in the first room they gave me that I asked the front desk for another room. They were gracious about it and on inspection agreed that the cigarette smell was very stong & I did later see them bring fans into that room presumably to mitigate the smell. The second room still had a very bad smell that never got better. I picked this motel due to proximity to the venue I was attending. It was in a nice neighborhood that felt relatively safe and has great proximity to restaurants & shopping - but that in no way made up for the lack of c & smell. I have not yet been able to get horrible smell out of my luggage and gear. On the positive side - the shower had plentiful hot water and the shower curtain was clean and appeared new. I think it is just a very old property with furnishings and interiors far past their useable life.
We were thrilled to find a place with a suite like this. We each got our own room.
Everything is super clean and the Wi-Fi works great
Surprisingly, it was also very quiet!
The staff are very kind and helpful
My only complaint is that they advertise “ continental breakfast” which in every motel and in every country I have ever stayed ( including across the USA) there was tea!
