Great property with proximity to Interlaken

Very pleasant stay. Modern design, good size clean room. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Free breakfast is a nice addition. The property located just a 15 minutes scenic drive to Interlaken that is actually a bonus.

Wonderful hotel in lovely town

Excellent breakfast. Beautiful location. The view from the breakfast hall looking down on the castle/town is wonderful. Bus 65 stop Spiez Grueb is about 3 minutes walk from hotel. It takes approximately 10 minutes to and from the bahnhof in Spiez. The selection of music channels on the tv is great.

Quiet and clean, staff are very friendly and want to help. The hotel is not a luxury, but provides what you need with a very reasonable price in the area. Walking distance to cruise and train station. You can also take buses.

A little bit of paradise

I asked for a chair with arms and they made it happen. They cooked eggs for me everyday and could have had bacon as well. The room was dark and quiet at night. The walk from the train station was nice. The television had 30.music channels, loved it. The view of the village and castle during breakfast was superb.

It was about a ten minute downhill walk to the property from the train station. (Just remember that the return trip is uphill!) The room and property seemed new and very clean. It was easy to enjoy the breakfast, which was extensive and delicious (get there early because food was not readily replenished). They did not offer access to the city pass, which would have enabled one to freely use local transit.

Location and staff were fine. Room was incredibly small and uncomfortable, there was no air conditioning, no safe, and no way to turn on the bathroom light with all lights in the room. Poor design.

Soulless building next to fabulous surroundings and residences. Owners put eco credentials above customer comfort. Zero facilities in room - just a bin and a hairdryer. Asked for more pillows and had to put cover on myself. Our outside seating area unclean. Bit dungeon-like with cement and breeze blocks. No aircon- very hot in May 25. Had shower gel 1 day then it was removed. Poor internet. Restaurant not open evenings. Ants on floor. I’ve been to better hostels. Cost approx 800 aud for 2 nights!! Positive: ummmm shower and breakfast very good

Near the Lake and Castle with Free Parking

Chose this hotel because I could confirm on-site parking. The small parking structure is shared with the hotel next door, but when I went in November there was plenty of space even though the hotel was very full. There are different room sizes. I took a small one which was available. Clean and cozy if you are just there to sleep. Breakfast was good, but not all of it was put out before I left. Other reviews complained about no air conditioning in the summer & beds are soft. There is heat in the winter! The bed was soft, so that might be a problem depending on your needs, but I did not have an issue with it.

Central and great location - short walking distance to marina, beach, restaurants, and public pool that overlooks Lake Thun. The hotel shares an outdoor garden space with neighboring hotel, and it is a great experience to sit in the lounge chairs and enjoy the beautiful views which overlook the lake and marina below. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very eco conscious and more minimal with amenities but the location, cleanliness and comfort of hotel are worth the stay. If you can, reserve a room with the outdoor shared terrace where you can walk out to and see Lake Thun from your room. It is amazing!

Property and location was excellent. My only complaint was that the breakfast was over priced for what was included. Breakfast was just bread, fruit, cheese, meats, yogurt, cereal and coffee.
