Top Southern Islands Hotel Reviews
Warwick Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay. The staff are fantastic. Loved it."
OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"Beautiful property with exceptional service! Overall, I had a wonderful stay. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the employees were truly exceptional — incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A few things to know before booking: although the property is oceanfront and the views are gorgeous, the beach is quite shallow and rocky, so it’s not really ideal for swimming. It’s still a beautiful setting to enjoy! If you’re traveling solo, I’d recommend booking the hotel’s airport shuttle rather than taking a taxi. I called the hotel beforehand and was advised to take a taxi, which worked fine but ended up being about 70 FJD more expensive. If you do take a taxi, bring cash as they don’t accept cards. The one area I think could be improved is the check-in information. I was mainly told to download the app and wasn’t made aware of the meal package, which would have been helpful since dining at the resort can otherwise be quite expensive. There’s also a lovely adults-only pool that I only discovered later-as a solo traveler, I wish I’d known about it sooner. The resort is quite far from everything, which is wonderful if you’re looking for peace and relaxation, but it does make day trips a bit longer. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend it for a relaxing resort vacation with a couple of day trips mixed in. The setting is stunning and the staff truly make the experience special."
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Loved this resort. Everything about it was great. The free breakfast buffet, the rooms, the beach and especially the staff."
Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"I loved this place! Would highly recommend! Only complaint is that you only have so much to spend on food per day with the all inclusive package. Which was fine but didn’t like having to watch what we spent for lunch and dinner. Also, the resort is far away from everything so it cost a lot for transportation to do any activities."
The Pearl Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room. Great friendly staff."
Bedarra Beach Inn
10/10 Excellent
"A wonderfully quiet, beautiful and serene place with fabulous staff, great food and wonderful and if we came back we would definitely stay again"
Grand Pacific Hotel Fiji
8/10 Good
"Enjoyed the stay would have been better without constant rain for 2 days"
Yatule Resort & Spa
8/10 Good
"The staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly and being adjacent to a beautiful beach was great. The continental breakfast was lovely and included a choice of one hot meal which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean and a staff member came every morning to see if we needed anything, eg. more bottled water. However somewhere to sit inside our room would have been good as the only place to sit was on the bed or on the deck outside. The main restaurant was very nice with a large outdoor area. The bar was comfortable with very pleasant staff. The pools were very nice but too cold for us to use unfortunately."
Uprising Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Uprising is a boutique “resort” on the beach. Water is shallow which suits young kids, or there is a pool. Bures appear to be under renovation. Villas are good for parents with up to 2 kids. Bathroom is huge but there is also an amazing outdoor shower for each villa. Staff are very kind and personable. We came by local bus from Nadi but would recommend having a rental car to get about. Within walking distance is the Arts Centre which is just opening after major construction works. This recreates an authentic village with an extensive discussion of cultural practices, chiefdom, ancient history etc. After 8 days here, we had tried most of the menu with no complaints. Skipped lunch most days as continental breakfast is 3 course(designed for rugby players) or smorgasbord , depending on crowd size. If you want to be crammed in with hundreds of others, go to the big resorts on the Coral Coast. We had a few days on Beachcomber Island before coming here, so we’re happy not to do snorkeling type trips from here, but they are available. Overall, highly recommended!"
