Great place to stay before heading for a cruise. Clean, comfortable rooms. A bar/restaurant with a varied menu and best breakfast we have had in the morning. Great value for money!

Good overnight base
Comfortable and on par with the price of the stay.
Great pub an food in ecening and breakfast. Nice room in separate accommodation at the back of pub. Bathroom could do with a deeper clean around shower area but room clean otherwise.
Very welcoming & friendly. Great room for what we needed. Lovley breakfast. Great location with a country park & beach on the doorstep & to visit friends in Hamble. Will stay again.
Nice bungalow style, accommodation. Close to Netley Station, good links to Southampton Centre. Good pub food available and morning breakfast is included.

A single female traveller, the accommodation at the back did not have a lock on the outside door. did not feel safe enough to stay so booked another hotel and did not stay
Great Pub and Bar restaurant, great to wait for our cruise trip. Good food and all clean. Staff excellent. All clean and neat. Rooms small but very convenient.
Room I stayed in was in an annex. Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year, the room temperature was cool enough to sleep in.
The pub was very busy at check in so it took a while c- but staff were very friendly, and apologetic
I stayed here for 1 night during a sailing course in Southampton August 2023, the staff were very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. The evening meal was way better than I would expect from a pub, you could tell the food there was popular with local people, the restaurant was nice and busy, and breakfast was 1st class, a top place to stay if you are in the area.
2nd stay here and will not be my last. Run by nice people who can't do enough to help.
The rooms are basic but clean and well priced
Food and drink is spot on too
We were only booked for a one night stay following our arrival on the Queen Mary and heading to Dublin. We were able to enter our room early and enjoyed our dinner at the attached pub. Staff extremely helpful and enjoyed walking to the Abbey ruins.
The Prince Consort is a nice local pub which also has rooms for bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, which included very good quality bacon and sausages and all the usual ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious. I was visiting for a family funeral which was catered for there too. The buffet for the wake was also very good.
A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌

My room, no 2, was cramped but clean. Had some issues, reading light not working, no plug in sink, light swich pull missing but I was only staying one night so put up with it. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits and the complimentary toiletries were nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was OK. Not sure I would stay here again, I did not think the room I had represented particularly good value for money.

The room was very small and smelt musty.
The bedding was very clean and the bed was comfortable, but not a place I would stay at again.

tight squeeze
I can only review room 4, which is small (would be better if only one single bed),shower enter with difficulty if bigger than medium size body. However ,food very good with large portions good value, good friendly service.
The greetings I had from staff when I arrived were totally amazing. So friendly and caring. I arrived 15 mins before they closed for lunch having driven nearly 3 hours and i ended up with the most delicious battered fish finger bagette. Salad, coleslaw abs chips. All for 8.95. Phenomenal.
The room and facilities were an absolute delight and i was so comfy and slept really well. Breakfast was delicious and a generous checkout time of 11am. A hidden gem of a lovely traditional pub and accommodation. Just perfect 👌

OK for the area.
Better than many other similar places in this area, friendly landlady, easy to check in. Room was clean and tidy. Mattress was very uncomfortable, lumpy and lop-sided. No reserved parking spaces so I couldn't park in the car park as it was full of pub customers' cars.
