"I loved everything about our experience at the Landing. The room was above and beyond what I expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I loved that the resort felt tucked away from the busy Main Street and coffee, restaurants, and shops are just in walking distance. It was nice to be able to get my steps in while still having the option of using the shuttle. I hope to be able to visit again and I will always recommend this resort to family and friends."
"Our stay at Hilton Vacation Club South Lake Tahoe did not feel like a relaxing vacation experience. The property felt more focused on timeshare sales every time your work in the door, rather than guest comfort and hospitality. One major disappointment was the lack of daily room service, which guest has be scheduled well in advance. The pool area service was also inconvenient. There were no drinks or meal services available poolside, so I had to walk to the bar to place food orders and then wait 30–45 minutes before picking them up and returning to the pool. Another frustrating policy was that late check-outs were only offered to guests who attended the timeshare presentation sessions, which made the experience feel even more sales-driven. Considering we paid over $500 per night, the overall experience did not meet expectations. I have stayed at other Hilton Vacation Club properties before and received much better service and hospitality."
"There were whiskers on the shower wall when we got in. The rest of the room felt clean. Even though the outdoor pool is out of service, that space could be tidied up a bit. The continental breakfast had high carb, high sugar options, and dd not include protein or fresh fruit. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was good and overall our sleep experience was comfortable."
"Was excited to stay in this place because it had a pool. Upon checking in we were notified that the pool was not in service! My fault I guess I should have asked before booking but nothing stated of their pool not being in service online. Staff was not the friendliest at check in or check out. The sink faucet was so loose not tightened at all, shower felt like you were going to break trying to turn it on."
"This was an ok place. It was clean quaint room. the fireplace was a nice touch. Had the bottom floor room so I could hear people walking above me. I also wasn’t fond of the window in the front door which was the only was to get in any light. It was covered by a sheer curtain but you can clearly see in and out. With the bathroom not having a door it’s definitely a little unnerving if someone walks by when you are getting in or out of the shower. I also wasn’t fond of the bathroom being so open to to the room so there is no privacy. The toilet did not have a lid to cover it. And although appreciated the water temp, it was one of those accessible showers and had a handheld shower nozzle. It was super annoying because i couldn’t attach it to anything and had to stop the shower every time i needed shampoo/conditioner or body wash. Also because it was all open the water went everywhere and the ground was soaking wet. I did not enjoy that experience. I also was annoyed that they charge extra for early arrival or late check in. it was pricey for what it was. I have stayed in better places. Overall it served its purpose but I was expecting a better experiences based on the reviews. Didn’t hate it but didn’t love it either."
