The gal that greeted us at the desk was very friendly and helpful so we started off good! Our room smelled heavily of smoke,..bad enough that we made a trip to Walmart to buy Odo-Ban and Lysol. It was humid out so the floor was sticky in spite of the air conditioning being set at 62* when we went inside, and it didn't seem like the floors had been swept nor the carpets vacuumed since the last guests were there. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty, and the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. On one side there is a shady motel that has folks coming and going all hours of the night, but on the OTHER side, there's a well lit parking lot that is like it's own little shopping food court! BWW, Culver's, Texas Roadhouse, there's a Menard's and some other places. Additionally, it's really easy to jump on the highway to get to the Notre Dame campus for a game - which was the purpose for our stay, We won't go back to that particular hotel, but it worked for my sister-in-law and I for this one time.
