Clean hotel, reception staff were great, rooms clean but lacking tea/coffee making facilities. Generally very quiet and relaxing hotel. Bit of a trek back up the hill from the beach. Would recommend it overall

Beautiful sea views. Well placed for getting around Sorrento. Only negative I would say is the swimming pool is extremely deep! 3.1m in the deep end. Be wary if not a strong swimmer

The view from this hotel is beautiful and the main bus line stops just down the road. If it rains make sure you move everything away from the windows, especially electronics.

The hotel is nice with great views. They served breakfast but is the same everyday. They also serve dinner but dis not ate there. Is about 2 min walk to bus stop to main atraccions also a nice little store near by where you can buy the bus tickets and save money aldo very nice peopleat the store. They need to provide a microwave because there is not a restaurants near by and therenis no way to warm up leftovers. Also the breakfast ladies where not very nice. Be careful walking to the bus there is barely any sidewalk. No iron either and bring your own washcloth.

An older hotel that are being updated. Check in was fantastic and we where given all necessary info about the surroundings, hotel and potential trips to do and how to do them. very service minded and supportive. several nice options for beaches and or cliffs within walking distance. the view from the hotel over the ocean was fantastic

Staff were very helpful first night we were there as we arrived later and even served us some dinner from there kitchen.The view was beautiful with an ocean front view.Little bit out from town but there is bus service that runs about every 20 minutes and you can either pay bus driver for ticket or get in little store on corner by bus stop.Only takes about 8 minutes to get to center of town.Well worth the money to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is safe and quiet but off from the city. You can walk it or run. Bus transportation most of the time. Beach is easily accessible, so is a tiny grocery store for water. The shower door kept coming off the hinges and hard to put back on. TV and table are very small. Staff is helpful, and sitting at the veranda watching the sunset was quite relaxing. Nice view of the ocean and the hillside.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Dania. It was a quaint family run hotel that exceeded expectations! The staff was so wonderful and warm and helpful! The superior staff far outweighed any inconveniences that you might be accustomed to in the United States. We had a great time! We didn’t know what to expect and we were thoroughly surprised. We enjoyed that the hotel sat a little bit outside the busy downtown and we were close to popular swimming spots. It was also a great opportunity to ride the bus and navigate the trains. Thank you very much for a lovely trip!

Spectacular views - wow

Beautiful location, amazing views, nice to have a balcony, good facilities (pool/bar etc), nice staff (especially the woman that attended the bar and was there for breakfast in the mornings; cannot remember her name, sorry, but she was great!). The only downside is getting to and from the hotel to the centre; beautiful views throughout but if you decide to walk it is a bit dangerous with young children - use the bus service or taxis (if you’re happy to spend a bit more). All in all I would definitely recommend and return, miss it already!

This property is amazing! It is about a 30 min walk from the "main strip" of Sorrento, but it easily done. You do have to get used to walking on the road with cars/buses going by, but we never once had a close call--no one wants to hit a pedestrian! If you don't want to walk, the bus station is an easy 2 minute walk from the hotel--upon check in, the staff gives you a wonderful map and clear instructions how to get to everything, how to get to the bus, the ruins, the grocery store. You can buy tickets on the bus or at the grocery store. The grocery store sells amazing sandwiches as well as snacks. Note: the store was closed on Saturday/Sunday when we were there. The hotel has fantastic views and a pool we didn't end up using, but sat by it--very clean and looked fun for the people using it. In the room, the beds were very comfortable, firm, but not hard. We asked for extra pillows and received them. There were USB outlets, so we didn't need to use our international converter, but if we did, they had the 2 prong outlets. There was also a mini fridge that was great to use during our stay. The WiFi was great and only was spotty during a thunder storm. I would stay again at Hotel Dania and would recommend anyone to stay there! The staff are amazing!

Overall Dania is a fine choice for staying in Sorrento, especially if you don't mind being a little removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown (though you can always walk there in 30 or take the bus). The front desk staff were all very lovely and very helpful! The room we were originally in was not acceptable. There was no elevator on that side of the property and no one helped us up with our suitcases, there were 3 dead mosquitos on the walls, and the toilet never flushed fully. We were then switched into a much better room that was clearly newer, had an elevator, clean walls and bathroom. The meals at the hotel were a huge disappointment. The breakfast breads and pastries were often not fresh, the cereal was stale every day, and there was no hot option included (only cold boiled eggs which also tasted off). Dinner we tried once and it was just alright, overpriced for what we received in quantity and quality as compared to going out to a restaurant.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön, hell und geräumig mit traumhaften Ausblick. Den Pool und das Abendessen haben wir nicht genutzt. Der Pool hat leider relativ früh geschlossen (17:30 Uhr) sodass wir ihn nach einem Ausflug nicht nochmal nutzen konnten. Das Frühstück hat eine gute Auswahl an süßen und herzhaften Speisen geboten. Die Lage ist ruhig aber eben etwas von Zentrum entfernt. Runter sind wir einmal zu Fuß gelaufen, was ca. 20 Minuten gedauert hat. Hoch würde durch die Höhenmeter vermutlich länger dauern. Allerdings fährt der Bus vom Minimarkt um die Ecke relativ zuverlässig und kostet nur 2€ pro Person und Fahrt. Alles in einem war es ein schöner und erholsamer Aufenthalt!

Perfect hotel in Sorrento with amazing view

Had a great stay at Dania. The hotel was very relaxing with a lovely terrace/rooftop and view of the ocean and gets the sunset. Overall great value, only complaint would be the shower curtain apart from that we had a very comfortable stay!

Property is all around amazing!! The views are absolutely breath taking. Walk to beach is about 5 minutes down the hill- local restaurants, small shop. Beautiful area to spend an afternoon. City is a quick 5-7 minutes bus ride. Pool at location is a very nice size, was clean everyday we stayed. Rooms are old school but fit the vibe! Response to a previous review we read- SOME staff may seam mean or rude to people who don't/can't speak their language. It was hard to communicate until the staff realized we spoke Spanish and it was a relief for some. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you Hotel Dania for an amazing experience!!
