「We prepaid one night to easily transition from the Waisai - Sorong ferry to tomorrow's SOQ flight. It met all our Western expectations with a quiet 3rd floor double with 2 narrow windows. Well equipped with comfortable bed, modern bathroom with toiletries, coffee maker, buffet breakfast with cooked eggs, ATM on premises, even Xmas decorations. Crossed street to small modern convenience store. The general area is not very walk-able.」

「This is a terrible hotel. This was my second time staying here as a transit hotel after diving in Raja Ampat and before flight to Jakarta. First time wasn’t so bad, except the concierge staff was reluctant to give me change from dinner until I said I’m leaving for airport now, if no change now I call the police. This second time was a complete nightmare. The water wasn’t hot at all, they said i just need to let the water run for 10-15 minutes. I ran for 5 minutes and decided it was a waste of...

「i think you need to read past reviews with a grain of salt. Similar to some Amazon reviewers, there are folks that just can't be satisfied. If you've ever stayed at a Motel 6 in the US, this place is leaps and bounds better. Sure, it lacks amenities, like a shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap.
