I’m giving this hotel 4 stars overall. The hotel itself was clean, and the rooms were clean enough for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good and definitely a plus. That said, the floors could have used a more thorough mopping and vacuuming, and the bathroom felt like it needed a few extra minutes of attention.
The staff was friendly and polite, but they were often on their phones. On several occasions it felt like they were slow to respond, and on Saturday night at around 2 a.m., no one answered the phone at the front desk. It honestly felt like no one was available—whether they were away from the desk, asleep, or distracted on their phones.
We also had a difficult situation with a neighboring room. The TV shared a wall with ours, and our neighbor was watching adult content at an extremely loud volume. Since I wasn’t comfortable leaving my child alone in the room to address it in person—and couldn’t reach the front desk—I ended up using my phone as a sound machine to try to drown out the noise.
I would stay here again because the hotel was generally clean and comfortable, and the staff was nice. However, the visible phone use by employees, the slow response to issues, lack of assistance when a problem arose, and the speed and thoroughness of cleaning are the reasons this stay didn’t quite earn 5 stars
