1 night familly trip

We stopped by in this hotel for one night (coming late evening and starting early morning next day). First impression from the building and appartment is a bit strange but at the end we have realized that everything was without any problem and according to our needs - guarded parking, kitchen with accessories, acceptable furniture etc. There is also a restaurant in the proximity.

L’eau du robinet était brune ... une bouilloire électrique, deux tasses même pas de petites cuillères... les poussières bien incrustées un peu partout ... nous étions sans doute les premiers clients de la saison pour cette chambre ... je suis sure qu’en pleine saison cela doit être différent, du moins je l’espere. Chaque appartement a une petite pelouse, la notre avait des herbes hautes d'au moins 50 cm. A voir en pleine saison ....

Emplacement parfait car proche ESFAM 15 minutes à pied Rapport qualité prix ok. Avoir un micro onde pour se faire un petit déjeuner chaud serait génial car rien tôt le matin dans le voisinage. Confort parfait.

Great accommodation, staff and facilities.

I stayed with an 8 year old and we had a great time, though we were not there for long. We sadly arrived too late to use the pool, which did look good, but we did have dinner by the pool. My son enjoyed playing in the mini children play park. The room was an apartment. It had two floors, so very much like being in your own home. Two, yes TWO bathrooms, both with a shower. The lounge area was huge with cable TV. The Wifi was free and fast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. In the morning before we left for our flight home, we were able to book one of the tennis courts with rackets and balls.. Be aware that to use the pool, there is a charge as was the use of the tennis court.

Bonjour, lieu correct mais aucun service proposée il s'agit plutôt d'une location d'appartement et non vraiment un hôtel. La piscine est indisponible dommage pour les enfants.

Hotellet var inte riktigt hotel, du hade ett tomt radhus att bo i med sängar på andra våning och utan kök. AC fungerar väl,uteplats var väcker med inget annat . Rumservis har inte skett. Vi ska be dem för att få rena handduk . Petsonalen mycket bes men ingen ordning. Frukost var en överlastning för dem . Vi ska vänta 35 minuter för att frukost kommer .

6 Euro or 10 Lev per person to use pool. Breakfast starts late @ 0900 to 1100 good luck with feeding kids or family and catching your early morning Flights. pool is very small and however a lot of Tennis with quality courts. Excellent and trueful Staff.

Pretty place/Couldn't book

-- Lodging is in a gated/secluded area with tree canopies, a few minutes outside of city center, & is old, small and cozy with stairway only, tennis court & an outdoor courtyard-restaurant that held a wedding party the next morning. -- Although we received Confirmation email & were charged the $36 with Hotels.com, the lodging didn't receive their transaction. As we were leaving for a group meet, receptionit said: I need to pay and that the website maybe took my banking info to book placement. Rather than have the cab waiting while we sort it, I paid then, later in the day, called Hotels.com about my bank being charged both $36 from them & $43 by the lodging. -- Basically, can't say I can rate the convenience of booking with Hotels.com since booking on it was ineffective. -- May be best to book directly with these lodgings so one doesn't risk the inconvenience of not knowing what you'll actually be charged, rather than what's promised on this. -- It's the simple inconvenience that the above would avoid an international pay-call to customer service, too, since I wanted to report it timely... in case Hotels' Customer Service couldn't sort it, then I could try directly since the same Receptionist might still be there. Hotels' C.S. staff called the lodging & got back to me saying, they got approval from the lodging to refund their $36. End.

Seen Better Days!!

Stayed here for the last 6 years and have seen it gradually going down hill. This year there were cracked walls, mould, missing tiles and dirty shower. Where there had previously been a mini-bar there was just a hole, what started off as a dining area with table and chairs was now just 3 plastic chairs lined up against a wall. There were broken handles and missing furniture in the bed rooms. There was no pay per view movie channels as advertised. Although, the temperatures were still in the mid 20's the swimming pool was covered over and out of use. On our first evening the stove was not working in the restaurant so there was limited food available and on our second evening at 9 pm we were told it was last orders and we had to leave. On a positive note there was a very pleasant waitress that could speak English and did her best to look after us, although we witnessed on more than one occasion the restaurant manager shouting at her in public. After many years of enjoyment we will not be staying here again.

The rooms are big and comfortable, but not with good maintenance. there is no WI-FI in the rooms, there is a seating and dining area but there is no refrigirator or dishes. the location is quite far from the center so it is not recommanded if you don't have a car. there are no nearby restuarnts (other than the one un the hotel) or supermarkets. the swiming pool is good and comfort. breakfast is standard, but the service is a bit slow.

Fräscht hotell, lyxigt för så litet pengar

Rummet (nr 7) var mycket fräscht och kändes lyxigt för ett så lågt pris. Enda minusen är att det var problem med att få varmvatten i duschen och det problemet har varit sedan ganska länge (har bott i samma rum vid ett par olika tillfällen), samt att WiFi inte fungerar i rummen utan bara i receptionsbyggnaden. Hela hotellområdet är mycket fint och det känns som att det borde kosta betydligt mer att bo här. Personalen är trevlig, serviceminded och pratar bra engelska.Tänk bara på att poolen bara är öppen under sommarmånaderna (juni-aug).

super rapport qualité-prix!

Un séjour très agréable. La villa est spacieuse, un véritable petit appartement. L'hotel est tranquille et vert, propre, le personnel sympathique et serviable.Un rapport qualité-prix !extraordinaire! par rapport à tous les hotels visités dans le secteur....Un taxi de 7 leva pour le centre-ville...Seuls hics, un resto au menu très restreint, on s'en lasse vite ( mais il est facile d'aller manger ailleurs), et un petit-déjeuner ( inclus dieu merci! ) plutôt pauvre et triste ( si vous avez un vehicule, n'hésitez pas à aller faire vos courses pour le garnir...).Mais, somme toute, une excellente adresse à Sofia pour ceux qui recherche calme et confort tout en n'étant pas trop éloigné du centre.

Piscine bien entretenue, restaurant très correct avec un bon rapport qualité / prix, villa spacieuse et propre même si les finitions sont à revoir. Petit bémol, piscine ouverte à tous et les touristes moins bien traités que les habitants de Sofia (exemple : la personne qui s'occupe de la piscine ne donne pas de matelas pour les résidants de l'hôtel mais en donne aux Bulgares !)

I would recomend to anyone

Very good hotel. I felt very comfortable in Villa. it gives special feeling of resting. Rooms were very cleen. Personal was very helpful and well prepared. One thing which will have to be improved is breakfast. It is quite poor. I would wish to see more variety of food.

Love Diplomat but breakfast???

Have stayed here quite a few times and really loved it. It is convenient fro my needs as is near the outside of city. Last time the building work was still going on - this time it seemed finished and is a small oasis in the city. We stayed one night at beginning of holiday (13 September) and at the end of holiday (22nd September). The 13th was great as always expecially with the price paid through hotels.com HOWEVER was very disappointed with the 22nd because we were told breakfast would be brought to the room.... too cold for the dining area by the pool and the restaurant not open. This meant the receptionist walking down the path to the main accomodation building with clingfilmed plates of breakfast and a single cup of tea or coffee or orange therefore with pure practicalities we were limited to one cup of tea ----- it would have been nonsense to keep phoning can I have a second or even third cup. This problem could easily be reduced by having tea facilities in the room - a kettle only costs £6 from ASDA!!!!! I am still annoyed at the breakfast being served in the room as it domonished an ptherwise great holiday..... and a usually comfortable place. It later transpired that it was end of season and we were the only guests in the whole complex..... therefore I think the main reason would be keeping a catering staff memeber on just for us. An email warning us..... or offering reduction to have breakfast somewhere else and tea making facilities would have helped considerably.

Charmant hôtel très proche de Sofia, avec les services proposés très satisfaisants. Petit déjeuner-buffet complet, piscine, tennis et centre de remise en forme... Très contents de notre séjour.

Hotel Gloria Palace, Sofia Bulgaria

We selected this hotelel from Hotels.com since from time to time we travel from Italy to Turkey by car and this require at least one night break The last few times we were disgusted about hotels we found on the highway so this time we decided to get organized. On the arrival under a heavy rain, the concierge had our names and they were waiting for us, very very kindly. They took us to our room and told us that the minibar expenses were on the hotel.... Clean room and large, perfect and modern bathroom with toiletries, good breakfast. The hotel is inside a tennis/swimmingpool contest in the green, with trees and flowers. Price was more than acceptable. I highly recommend.

Hotel adres is niet goed aangeven, Taxi chauffeur moet 2x vragen. Ik werd in stad centrum afgezet bij een dezelfde genaamd hotel Gloria Palace Hotel, het was onjuist. Banja Gora is juist adres dat is nergens genoemd

Bel hotel

Cet hotel etait situé dans un parc à l'origine. En ce moment dans le parc autour de l'hotel des immeubles sont en constructions. Sur 4 nuits, nous avons subit 3 soirs de mariages organisé par le restaurant de l'hotel + 2 matins les bruits et la poussière du chantier.Il y a 2 hotel Holiday à Sofia, problème pour trouver le bon qui s'appelle "Gloria palace" sur l'enseigne.
