Miles of rugged, high altitude terrain, state of the art infrastructure and world-class entertainment combine to make this one of Austria’s most complete alpine resorts.

Explore 90 miles (145 kilometers) of perfectly kept ski runs, with 33 high-speed lifts, enjoy sports such as curling and paragliding, and dance through the night at the lively bars and discos when you visit the superb Soelden ski resort.

Situated in the stunning mountains of Tyrol province, Soelden is most popular during the winter months when it becomes a paradise for skiers of all levels. Novices will love the blue and red runs at Innerwald and Giggijoch while experienced riders can take on the Big Three Valley, a downhill marathon descent of three peaks all measuring over 9,800 feet (3,000) meters high. The Area 47 Snowpark at Giggijoch will appeal to those who want to jump and spin on butter boxes and ride on jib lines. There is also adrenaline fuelled off-piste on the glaciers of Rettenbach and Tiefenbach, a short bus ride from the resort.

When you get hungry you’ll find 30 cafés and restaurants conveniently located on the slopes. Indulge in some fries or a refreshing drink in the sun before you get back out onto the snow.

After a morning on your skis try your hand at something different. Take a seat and slide down the natural 3-mile (5-kilometer) Stallwiesalm Toboggan Run or get a truly breathtaking perspective of the mountains on a tandem paragliding flight. If something a little more relaxing sounds appealing, unwind at the Aqua Dome Spa Center where saunas and hot pools have views over the mesmerizing scenery.

As the evening sets in get out of your mountain gear and take your pick from some fantastic restaurants in town. Warm yourself by the fire with some traditional Austrian cuisine then join the locals for a glass of schnapps in one of the lively bars and clubs.

Soelden is a large resort in Western Austria, approximately an hour drive southwest of Innsbruck. The winter season runs from October to May and there are a number of ski-schools along with equipment shops and rental centers. During the summer the resort is popular with hikers and mountain-bikers and many of the lifts still operate. There are many accommodations available year-round with hotels and apartments a short stroll from the lifts.

Highly recommend!
"We very much enjoyed our stay here. Staff at the reception, bar and restaurant were outstanding. The breakfast and dinner were both generous and had a wide selection. The ski storage area and the easy access to the lift were fantastic. The only two things that could be improved are the wine selection ..."

Good and bad but overall comfortable
"This modern hotel was spacious and new which was a nice contrast to some of the older accommodations in the area but it was typical cheap new construction without attention to detail, sloppy paint, cracking drywall seams, unfinished details.
