Older property with bare minimum standards and amenities. Clean. In a safe area. Conveniently located to the venue for the event we traveled into the area to attend. No regrets.

The location was perfect for an event I was participating in. The room was clean and comfy. Some of the outlets were loose, so finding a charging plug that didn't find out took a few looks. The biggest issue was the smell of cigarette smoke near the entrances. I used the side entrance, and the smell hit me like a wall. I had to wait for the staff member, but he was very friendly and attentive. Other than that, it was a great stay. I look forward to returning! OH... and great shower pressure!

You get what you pay for; it was near a wedding venue with very few options for staying. Lloyd, the desk person was accommodating, decent, polite and industrious. Overall it's not the Hilton, but for the money I think it's a reasonable place to be. Rooms were relatively clean as where the grounds. Lawn is mowed nicely there was no debris or trash around but it's not a top-notch property. Overall I would stay there again based on my experience as there are very few options in this somewhat remote area.

We stayed at the Stonewood Inn & Suites of Carrollton and were very impressed. The rooms were large, everything was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the grounds were spotless, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were traveling on a budget and priced several similar hotels in the area and Stonewood Inn & Suites of Carrollton had the best prices. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was. We will be back for sure.

This may have been hands down the worst hotel I have ever been to. There was bugs, marijuana under the mattress, hair everywhere in the sheets, and smelled absolutely terrible. I couldn’t get my money back either. I ended up not staying there. Good luck getting hold of a Custer representative. There absolutely no help at all. Very disappointed.

Excellent Experience

Recently renovated rooms due to new management. Very cold fridge and working microwave. Jacuzzi tub with endless hot water and working jets. HVAC is very effective. Great parking and great location.

The facility has only the basic stuff for staying, with relatively old furniture, heating/AC, and other equipment, no breakfast or fitness center. But the price is good and matches the level of the facility. It has small refrigerator and microwave, which is convenient. Otherwise our staying was pleasant.

The property was conveniently located and priced; however, needed cleaning, paint, and replacement locks on at least one exterior door. The single-pane windows allowed much of the local highway noise into the room and the HVAC was very noisy. The staff was not present at the front desk the three times I approached it; however, responded quickly and was helpful when called on the posted phone number. During my week stay, I went to get fresh towels, but had to return the used ones prior due to their limited supply.

My recent stay at the Stonewood Inn and Suites in Carrollton, VA was a major disappointment. The most serious concern was a clear safety hazard: exposed wiring and an active ceiling leak in a main hallway, with an overflowing bucket catching water below it (see photo). This alone should raise red flags for anyone considering a stay here. The issues didn’t stop there. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable—stiff and springy, like sleeping on plywood. The only access to the second floor was via a stairway that was visibly dirty and poorly maintained. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, with a noticeable musty and smoky odor throughout the building, including in the room itself. In-room amenities were no better. The hair dryer didn’t work (though a replacement was eventually provided), the towels were threadbare and barely absorbent, and the refrigerator was full of condensation with standing water inside—unable to keep even bottled water cool. As for the lobby, the coffee was cold and stale, and the powdered creamer clumped up due to the temperature—making it undrinkable. This hotel appears to be in rapid decline and is in desperate need of serious maintenance, cleaning, and upgrades. I would not recommend staying here until these major issues are addressed. The hotel did not have my booking through Expedia, but fortunately I had the reservation saved on my phone. Photos available upon request.

Great stay

We stayed for 2 weeks while visiting our son and grandkids over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The staff was courteous and friendly. Since we had never stayed at this location before we asked to see the room before we checked in and they were very happy to help even though it was late at night. The room was clean and comfortable.
