Asked kindly for a pair of slippers and the two male staff (one looked like a manager) at the concierge stared blankly at me for a few seconds like I’ve arrived from Mars, and eventually uttered not available. I paid almost £90 for a night layover, ok you are not Four Seasons, but I expected a lot better than that. Ruined your brand Holiday Inn.

I had a 12 hour layover at Heathrow. I walked out of the airport, hopped the bus and it was at the hotel in less than 10 minutes. The staff was quickly quick and efficient. I was in my room in no time a hot shower and a soft bed that was just what I needed before heading back to the airport for another long flight.

Stay was okay but needs improvement. The room felt dated and could use a deep clean—carpet and paint especially. No fridge or ice machine (maybe typical for the UK), and only one bedside outlet. We had just one towel for two people and no flannels available. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Staff weren’t very warm. Wayfinding was confusing—clear signage off elevators is needed. Soaps also smelled unpleasant. I wouldn’t stay again.

The room was small but fine for one night. The heating was not on and took a long time to heat the room once the temperature was set. The reason for the overall poor score is the staff. We had no shampoo in the dispenser, which my wife only realised when she was in the shower. I called reception, who were apologetic and said someone would be along shortly. Five minutes later a man turned up with a bottle of shower gel. I told that was not what was needed and he said he'd be back very soon. After almost ten minutes I called reception. The lady on reception left her position to bring me a shampoo. A few minutes later the original staff member turned u with the correct bottle. When walking down the corridor in the morning we were intercepted by staff THREE times to ask which room we were checking out of. We politely told them we had not yet checked out. I think they were being lazy and not checking with reception which rooms had been vacated. At breakfast there were items that ran out and replenishment was slow. A couple of other problems led my wife to complain to the duty manager. He was disinterested and borderline rude, focusing on his computer screen rather than looking at her. We accepted some IHG points as compensation. A week later, no points. I emailed the hotel and the duty manager stated "The wrong membership number was provided". That's highly unlikely as I read it out three times to ensure it was taken correctly. An average hotel with below average management.

Good hotel. Lots of airline folks seemed to stay here. Make sure to get the correct bus to and from theT5. Number 7 bus to the hotel and number 703 back to T5. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is amazingly abundant with plenty of staff on hand cleaning, serving, helping. Asked for extra tea for the room and housekeeper was very generous with tea and milk. Nicely updated bathroom. Bedding was stained on one bottom sheet. I say to miss but disconcerting for guests. Now that we know the buses, would stay here again. As we were taking the bus back to Heathrow T5 we drove through some lovely areas with parks and historic buildings. Worth a longer walk to take a look.

We came all the way from San Diego, California and loved our stay here! The rooms were very clean and the staff were all so wonderful! Amanpreet had exemplary customer service skills and she made our stay wonderful! Thank you so much!

Not really one for leaving reviews. Especially negatives ones but this was truly awful. We arrived pretty late on the Thursday night so the bar was closed, which is fair enough. Tried the vending machine to get some drinks for the evening and it didn’t work. Again, these things happen. Hard to know if the tap water is ok without drinking water labels on the taps. Normally it means don’t drink if it doesn’t say drinking water. Again small things that aren’t really issues. We had a family room. The sofa bed was shocking. So uncomfortable. Was literally like lying on springs. It was so bad we let the kids stay on the proper bed and we stayed on the sofa bed. Shocking night sleep. Got up, went for breakfast just after 7am. Ran out of plates and folks. Eventually the plates came out but 3 times I went back and still no folks. No mugs for hot drinks, only disposable cardboard cups…which they ran out of. Wouldn’t stay again if flying from Heathrow and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Luckily I had £60 credit in the Expedia account so the room only cost £21 for the night…still overpaid.
