Stayed at the Black Horse Hotel in mid-September '20. We felt safe from a COVID perspective, but have the following observations to make:
- On first entering the room, it was clean, but the door was unlocked so we could not confirm whether anyone had been in after the cleaning.
- About half of the guests we met on the stair-wells / corridors were not wearing masks or face coverings, although the hotel had asked us to do so due to the inability to social-distance; we also met several staff members in these areas who were not wearing a face-covering.
- Some bar and serving staff (breakfast) had their visors pushed up on the top of their heads so as to make the face visor a pointless addition to their PPE.
Management - you cannot control what customers do, but please reinforce the message with staff about correctly wearing PPE for both their safety and that of customers.
