Dornoch had a branch off the Highland line until the 1960s. It ran from the Mound on the north side of Loch Fleet, over a bridge and then along the south side of the loch until turning south at Skelbo and heading into Dornoch. The dark green line through this field is the path of the railway

My family (especially my 5 year old daughter) and I LOVED seashell cottage. Cromarty is a special place for us and the cottage was a wonderful and cozy place to stay while we were visiting. Wish we could have stayed longer!
