5-star accommodations with spectacular views. Very private rooms with outdoor sitting areas. The food, staff and services were all excellent. We did a 45 minute hike from the hotel to Kaštel and the church of the seven martyrs and it was absolutely stunning. We will return and would highly recommend a stay here.

Wonderful property! The views are spectacular, both at daytime and at night. I have rarely seen so many stars in the sky. Our room was spacious with a separate sitting room and a big bathroom & shower, just a few steps from the pool. The design of the whole hotel is just beautiful. The breakfast is great with some basics served to the table (fresh orange juice!) and a good range of egg dishes and others made to order. We also had dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everybody is super friendly and helpful! The village of Kastro and the Chapel of the Seven Martyrs is in walking distance using the hiking paths across the island. Otherwise it is a bit secluded and I would recommend hiring a car.

Amazing holiday

Verina was the last stop on our holiday and made Sifnos that extra bit special. Staff, service and location were perfect. The room and balcony was great and an amazing spot for the morning sunrise.

Perfect holiday

We had an amazing stay at Verina Astra, and couldn’t fault it. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was perfect and the pool and view over the ocean were excellent. It’s the perfect location for sunrise, and close to great little towns and restaurants.

Great hotel!

We had an amazing stay at Verina Astra! The staff was wonderful and super helpful with everything. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, the private terrace to relax and watch the sunrise was amazing, and the pool area is great. The restaurant was great as well. The breakfast was outstanding, as was dinner the night that we arrived. The location is perfect for exploring the island. Make sure to rent a car!

Schöner Aufenthalt

Wunderschöne Lage, guter Service, tolles Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind desingt und deshalb nicht praktisch. Lesen ist z.B. wegen schlechter Beleuchtung nur im Bett möglich oder es hat keine bequemen Stühle. Das mondert aber die gute Erfahrung nur marginal.

Ultra Chic but with a few Design Faults

Beautiful hotel in stunning location. Very friendly helpful staff and delicious breakfasts. Ultra chic design but there were a few design faults: there was no handle on the exterior of the balcony door which meant you couldn't shut it when you were on the terrace to stop the very persistent local cats getting in; more attention could have been paid to the plumbing as the toilet did not flush adequately and the shower temperature was erratic. It was a shame that it was very windy in October and too cool to sit on our glorious balcony or swim in the pool.

The view of a lifetime!

When we arrived to Verina Astra, our breath was taken away by the amazing view! I can't imagine a more beautiful setting or location for a peaceful getaway! Take a look at my attached photos and you will understand! Then we met the true reason why Astra is one of the very best hotels around the world that we have ever stayed - the beautiful people that works there! They made us feel so welcome and comfortable all the time – like the “Queen and King of Norway” for the whole stay. Our standard room (Perseus) was comfortable and beautifully decorated with a large balcony/veranda area full of comfortable seating that allowed you to relax and enjoy the incredible ocean view. The sunrise from there and the beauty of this location is overwhelming. A total retreat, so peaceful, utterly unique and the perfect spot to then go explore the island. And let's not forget the food! Local cuisine at its best, handmade pastries for breakfast and one of the best dinners on our Greek holiday trip. WiFi is average to slow. I would suggest renting a car because it is a bit remote but that’s what makes it so wonderful!! Verina Astra combines an air of sophistication with a relaxed atmosphere, producing a magical ambience. In summary this is a well-run hotel offering a very high standard of quality and service.
