"3/5 - Beautiful Views, but Overpriced & Noisy The Good: We moved to the Ocean Tower after three nights, which was a huge improvement—quiet, great views, and fantastic housekeeping. Shoutout to Kimberly and Alejandro for the friendly service, and the Piña Coladas are actually quite good! The grounds and golf course are also very well-kept. The Bad: • Noise: Avoid any rooms close to and next to pool bar (East wing). The DJ music at the pool bar is excessively loud until midnight. We couldn’t get any peace and requested to move. • Service: one night I felt completely invisible at the pool bar counter; after being ignored for 15 minutes, I gave up and ordered Domino’s to the room. Front desk staff also seemed quite miserable. • Value: Everything is overpriced: $15/day for parking on top of a $400/night room, and $25 for 5 small local beers. Food is bland, expensive, and portions are measly. La Terraza buffet lunch is the best option. • Maintenance: The hotel needs a renovation. The Jacuzzis were inconsistent (one day cold, one day lukewarm), and I even saw stray dogs swimming in the pool with no staff intervention. Verdict: A decent stay if you have a car to eat off-resort, but the inconsistency, loud pool bar and constant extra costs mean I won’t be returning."

"The place/setting is incredible. The hotel is surrounded by mountains. The pictures will never reflect the real beauty of the setting. The hotel itself has a positive ambiance of relaxation and peace. The pool area is also beautiful (I would only recommend adding heating to the water). The staff is very kind and welcoming. If you add breakfast to your reservation, the staff can bring you the breakfast outside you cabin. If you choose to have diner in the evening is also very peaceful and you will be receive good attention. The bathroom needs some updates, but I definitely recommend the place. The hotel includes a Ceiba (tree) trail that reflects the beauty of the mountains and nature. You can visit the river within a walking distance."
