We stayed at the Secret Garden for 2 weeks. The hotel was lovely and the staff fantastic. Rooms were very spacious but the beds a little hard. It was a great location only a 15 min walk to pub street and the markets. 5 mind from the circus.
Very bad experience because when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed by the guard that the hotel had closed operation more than a month ago. I was compelled to look for another hotel. Since I have prepaid the hotel thru expedia, i demand that i refunded the amount I paid.

A nice budget option
A nice family-run place. The owner can arrange tours for a reasonable price. A garden with hammocks was a plus.
100€ went missing from our room. Breakfast was always late. Not enough light in the room. Stayed there 4 nights and they only cleaned the room once. Would not recommend it, there are much better hotels in Siem Reap.

Good hotel but it was dark.
Repairs needed.
Good hotel overall.
The room I was in was dark and a light I wanted repaired was not repaired even though I had pointed it out not working.
Nice garden and the people are awesome. If your looking for a good cheap safe place this is it. The shower is a bit close to the toilet but this could be seen as cleaning in motion.
Yes it is close enough to walk to main centre but Cambodia is not really designed for city walks
Very spacious and comfortable room for the price. Hotel also provided basic amenities such as toiletries, towels and water, which was a pleasant surprise.
Angkor Wat was GREAT - Hotel was a poke in the eye
First time to Siem Reap but Traveled all my life. Know what a three star should be but maybe not on Hotel.com or Siem Reap, not sure which...
The reviews were good but maybe the staff let it the place go while the boss was away. Our 3 star Hotel.com choice in Phnom Penh was GREAT!!!! This was a .5 star compared. May have different scale per city........

Very affordably priced comfort and awesome service
I stayed for four weeks here, so maybe that's why I began to feel like family; but I think you'd get that feeling even if you stayed just a day or two. Everyone was very nice, and went out of their way to ensure my comfort. The free breakfasts were an added bonus, cooked to order, with fresh fruit daily. The hotel itself sits back far enough off a busy street that noise was not an issue. The garden area is lush and enjoyable to look at. This also had the best air conditioning of the 4 hotels I've stayed in on this SE Asia exploration. Hoey, the hotel tuk tuk driver picked me up at the airport, and I also hired him to take me to Angkor Wat and the surrounding area. Although I toured at my own pace, he had great advice on how and what to see, and the order to do it in. It made for an awesome visit, and I would recommend his services highly. I was pretty skeptical initially when I saw the low pricing as to the level of service or comfort I might expect, but was soon amazed at how my expectations were surpassed in both areas.
This hotel is really for backpackers who are only staying 2-3 days. The room is nothing like their photo. It is dark, there is nowhere to sit. There isnt anywhere to hang clothes. It definitely isn't bright and airy. The bathroom is disgusting. The COLD shower is aimed over the toilet. The floor floods when you shower. It took five days before the room was cleaned, beds changed and bathroom cleaned. We had to ask twice before they did it. The air con unit when switched on, the flap closed, so you had climb up on the bed to open the flap. The garden is overgrown and needs a good tidy. It took 7 days after asking, to get a light bulb for the light over the bed. Which then took all of 5mins to fit. The dining area was always left piled with dirty plates, cups and ashtrays. I always tidied our area up. Ants crawl over the tables, so don't leave food too long on table. There is a pool table but more often than not there was a child laying on it. The reception area is cluttered and rarely anyone there. This is a family run business and there is a lot of family. The hotel is in a good location but the Tuk Tuks drivers don't know where it is.
Friendly and helpful. Has a cute small green courtyard and they can help you plan your trip to Angkor Wat based on what you want to see and how much time you have. It seems the prices for a tuk tuk to Angkor Wat are fair and similar to other places.
Very good value property. Nice staff and very accommodating. Hard to find so be sure and get a map to show your driver. Delicious cook to order breakfast. Very affordable and worth it.

The value for money is great here.
Pros: Friendly staff, can buy and arrange tours.
Cons: At night the neighbours were making a lot of noise, hard to spot from the road.
