「We stayed in the "Princess" room at the Criterion which has its own bathroom. It is an old hotel but the room has been refurbished and is great value for money. Very spacious and lots of old world charm. There is a pub downstairs so a bit of noise from that but convenient for dinner. We stayed during the week so wasn't that noisy.」

The staff are genuinely welcoming and Kate was a wonderful host taking us through the extensive wine tasting with plenty of cheerful banter and local stories. Our cabin was modern and well appointed with everything provided for an enjoyable stay. The beautiful country views were enhanced by the charming farm animals like Ninja the cat and the flock of friendly goats always up to be hand fed....
