The rooms are dated but they were very clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. This was all I needed for a place to spend the night.

The property is unassuming on the outside, but once you’re inside the owner is super great. The interior is older but well maintained. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom spotless. The beds were very comfortable. I can’t imagine a better place for the price!!!

Very clean, hospitable, no frills motel. Only wish is for a fridge in room. No breakfast, but really excellent coffee. Just plan ahead. Nice bakery and good breakfast in town. David at the desk is a wonderful host.

House of Rest has everything you need and just a few things you don't. For that deal you *get* a deal, a good room for a fraction of what you can pay elsewhere in the city. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and it was exactly what two people needed for a night of their journey. I'd stay here again.
