Overall very pleasant stay at the hotel, but food quality at the breakfast buffet needs to improved. Staff needs better training. Teabags at breakfast buffet are not available unless you asked, they are stored inside the cabinet where only staff can reach. Food quality is not good for 5 stars hotel and at that price.

This is our second stay at this hotel and both times we had the same problem with the key card not opening the door. Either there is a problem with their system, or the staff did not properly activate the key card access. Needs improvement.

Short taxi ride to the Shantou High Speed Rail Station. Though the hotel is a little out of the way for the city centre, little to nothing in the way of shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. More than a little surprised that I had to pay a 3000 RMB deposit upon arrival, seeing as I had already paid the full price of my 3 night stay in advance. Had a full reimbursement to my bank account later in the day when I checked out. Just a "strange" set up, guess they worried I might disappear with the bed or the TV. Concierge and doorman very helpful with advice and guidance on local travel, sights etc.
