Amazing location staying in the heart of the old Seville. Could not have had a better experience. Like staying in old world Spain but had all the modern conveniences.
Lovely rooftop pool, relaxing courtyard, clean hotel relaxed helpful staff. Lovely breakfast , good size comfortable room .
We would definitely return. The location of the hotel was also good. We walked and used Ubers . Thank you
The room was quite smelly, maybe humidity accumulation or smoking (people were smoking in common areas even though the hotel was mentioned as nonsmoking in Expedia)! The room opened to the restaurant which made it incredibly noisy (the windows have zero sound proofing), people were sitting by our window and speaking till quite late at night and then very early in the morning the breakfast preparation and cleaning started with more and louder noises. So, a restless stay! For 400$ per night, the stay was quite disappointing and overpriced! Staff were polite and helpful. Hotel is not far from the historic center.
The reception staff were excellent. When we arrived they highlighted all the areas of interest were super helpful throughout. The place was immaculate, comfy bed loved it

Driving to the hotel is tricky and parking is a challenge. Food and lodging were very good
Nice hotel well located. Friendly and accomodating personal. Its clean and quiet... and on top of this you can head to the pool after a long walking day. Very happy with our 2 days stay!
Lovely hotel in the city center. Within the old city walls and 20 minutes walk from the tourist areas.
Very friendly and helpful staff, and delicious breakfast.
Allin all it exceeded my expectations for a hotel at this price, really good value, highly recommend it!
All staff from reception to cleaning to dining staff was very helpful and polite. The lady in the dining area name Adriana is outstanding understanding very helpful can’t say enough Kudos about her. Second or equally great is the staff at the front desk. My wife and I travel a lot for years and the staff at Hotel Gil is outstanding fabulous.
Perfect service at the desk by Martha. Helpful to guide us to the restaurants
Better pillow will improve comfort . The same for sunbeds. But all over perfect stay.
The breakfast and dinner area is amazing
Fabulous hotel in lovely location. Only negative was how noisy it was in the morning as breakfast was served in central courtyard. Plates/cutlery/chattering and (worst of all) table and chair legs scraping the floor from 8am every morning.
The room was ok. Beds were uncomfortable. Was in a good location. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was good. Decorated cute. Due to a religious holiday rooms were double priced and not nearly as nice as the other hotels on our stay that were half the price.

Very nice and convenient location. Parking is limited so we had to go outside with a 10min or so walk.
Facilities are a bit old and requiring update.
We was a little skeptical after the review we read and anyways the price was good, so we went. After our stay we are curious who took the time to post such negative reviews. Let me start first with the reception and restaurant stuff they amazing they do everything to make your stay wonderful. The rooms are clean and big, the pool and the roof are awesome, the restaurant has real local cuisine at a good price and quality. Eating in the patio is priceless. For whom posting false reviews regarding the parking…well I have a Tesla new model and I had no issues parking. The only problem is the street if you a big car you need to be careful but it’s ok. So at the of our stay the review is not five stars but 10

Disliked: Room comfort
Not for people with mobility issues no way 4 star.
The hotel is ok no way 4 star. First ever hotel that didn’t have room service. Very old school in its look and set up.
The hotel seem like a cut and shut (one hotel added on to other)
If you have any mobility issues like myself forget it there are lots of steps around the hotel and the ramps have seen better days. Plus the pool is only accessible from an added on steps the lift was locked. Even the hotel itself has 4 large steps.
The saving grace is the staff very friendly.
Location around 25mins from walk (am slow & hobble) from the centre or 6euro in a cab.
Beware of rooms above reception area , very noisy from the reception staff who played loud music after 1am, and anyone returning from a night out it is very loud. Because of marble floors the sound carries upstairs! Outside, no bars on the road but very very noisy even though it is on a quiet street. Reception staff not as friendly as I’ve experienced before. Hotel breakfast is good, lots of choice. Pool area very good and courtyard is a nice place to relax with a drink if you can work out how to get a drink as no staff around during the day. Room 224 was great standard, big bed, but very warm as no air conditioning working. In July/August it would be impossible to sleep!! Overall a lovely break as Seville is magical, we felt the hotel is lacking in some places, particularly late at night where they allow other guests to make as much noise as they like, without thought of the time of day (eg 3am talking and laughing in Reception after a night out!). It is only the rooms above reception , rest of the hotel is quiet and respectful of other people staying. Shame, but we enjoyed our stay, don’t pay for a better room or you could end up not sleeping too much!
First of all, the room. Its a good size containing a comfortable bed, air conditioning (essential), fridge and safe. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and a bidet. The water pressure on the shower wasn’t too great at the time of writing but for me that was a very minor issue. I guess the only thing I expected to be there but wasn’t was coffee/tea making facilities. For me this wasn’t a huge issue as I’d booked breakfast, but for some it might be.
The staff I found to be very friendly and helpful whenever I spoke to them. The ones I spoke to also had a good level of English which helped me out enormously.
Breakfast is a good selection. Cereals and cooked, as well as a range of fruit, cheese and ham, and pastries. I’m here in the summer so I was able to have it outside in the garden which was a very pleasant way to start the day. While on the subject of food I’ll mention dinner too. I had it two nights here and found it to be of good quality with a good selection.
The only downside that I can think of really is that it’s a bit further away from the centre of the old town than some might like. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Setas. Not an issue for me particularly, but just to mention it. Also, as my room was above reception (227) there as a bit of noise in the early hours with other guests coming in from nights out.
In short, this is a hotel I really enjoyed being in and would recommend it.
I have been here twice now and happy to return again.
Value for money really nice chilled hotel.
With a pretty very Spanish entrance to the place.
Two minutes walk to bars and food.
