Top stay in beautiful location

We had a fab stay in an apartment in the hotel. Loved the pool and service and had a wonderful time. The area is so stunning - views to the ocean and bay and the highlight was a boat trip to see the dolphins in the bay.

The location is excellent, but the hotel itself is neglected. The pool area is full of rust, and there is moss on the stairs. The staff is very disrespectful to customers in the way they speak except for the cleaning and restaurant staff, who are very nice.

Unfortunately, not worth the 5 stars. The hotel needs remodeling. In our room the curtains were broken, the sheets were dirty, air circulation in the bathroom didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our two day stay. Troia nevertheless is beautiful and definitely worth the stay.

It’s a very clean and modern hotel. It’s kind of weird how dark it is and I was told it was designed that way. I like dark restaurants and hotels that aren’t super bright but this is kind of spooky dark. Restaurant food was very mediocre and the menu was extremely limited. I assume it’s that way due to it being the off season. Staff was nice but not very helpful or forthcoming about the room, eating options, etc. you may want to try it during the “ seaso@ as the entire town was deserted!
