Semporna

This hotel is centrally located. The staff are friendly. It is right on what seems to be a water highway--so boats are going back and forth day and night. It is loud on weekends. The room was adequate and clean--the bathroom was o.k but had a leak from the ceiling into the toilet. If you spend no time in the room, this is a good choice. But, Semporna in this part of town is generally dirty and stinks (lots of garbage)

We arrived with lots of luggage- despite the numerous staff sitting about no one helped us or offered to help with the luggage. There was a dripping pipe in the toilet that leaked continually … the floor was wet when we arrived. Does no one ever look at the rooms before guests check in? The water glasses in the bathroom were all dirty and had brown residue on them. Nice water view and good air con - only plus here.

First, despite the terms as stated on Hotels.com, the hotel did not provide wifi for the 3 days we were there. Initially, when we checked in, the counter staff told us that the wifi was weak when it was actually not working. When we kept asking her & her colleague, they told us that due to public holidays, they could not get the technician from TM to repair the broken optic fibre cable.

I rather spend more for better environment.

Budget hotel so didn’t expect much however when I was taking a shower the water heater stopped functioning so I had to use the water from basin. I almost got electric shock when I turn on the hair dryer. I freaked out and dropped it.
