"The hotel and the room were clean and nice. Our shower seemed to need some attention. Not sure if it was dirty or just needed some brightening up. Breakfast was not bad. Eggs, sausage and waffles available, but other than that mostly all breads things. Would have liked more fruit and maybe grains or plant protein options."

"Don't judge the book by the cover: the Brickyard is older, a throw-back to the old motels where you would park outside your room, and the parking area is in need of some work, but for a budget level accommodation, my room was clean and comfy and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was comfortable, it was pretty quiet, and everything worked in the room, including the full-size refrigerator. The Perrys, who run the place, are good, down-home people who also provide a ministry to families of inmates, since the State Penitentiary is located in Rawlins. The Brickyard is not trying to be something it is not: it is an aging, authentic economy motel with a big heart."

"Room was very clean and comfortable. Good shower and A/C. Coffee in the lobby. Nice mini-fridge with freezer. Great selection of western art throughout the hotel. We would stay here again. I didn't see an ice machine so I don't know if that is available. No breakfast."
