Family run hotel and restaurant.

Overnight stop on way to ferry so room on second floor was fine and private off road parking appreciated. Usual amenities with good water pressure and plentiful hot water. Dinner served in enclosed charming outdoor terrace area and beautifully cooked food although a plethora of bouche amusants offered in addition to three course menu which bordered on unnecessary. It seems that smoking on such a dining terrace is still normal in France as it is open to the air. Breakfast was good for pastries but somewhat lacking in fruit/ savoury offerings.

A unique experience with fine dining and exceptional accommodation. Gourmet food with Lobster and langoustines and all. The accessories. The room was in another building, but it was large and comfortable.

Restauration correcte mais le prix reste élevé. Accueil à caractère familié totalement déplacé envers des clients. On nous à largement invité à réserver nos chambres en direct afin de ne pas passer par le site Expedia et payer moins cher. Je m’interroge sur la pertinence de ce discours, cette typologie de direction d’hôtel veut le beurre et l’argent du beurre : la visibilité gratuite ! Pour ma part je reste client d’hôtel.com et je continuerai à faire mes réservations sur ce site.

Very nice place from which to visit Tours and thenLoire valley. Breakfast was rudimentary so overpriced. Service staff very friendly. Will surely return in the future.

Superb Food

Our visit to La Mere Hamard was our third. The improvement this time was quite noticeable. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard. The dinner that was served was superb, prepared by a very talented chef at a reasonable price.

Missa inte restaurangen!

Bo på det här hotellet för middag på restaurangen! Prisvärd meny och vacker och god mat. Vi åt utomhus. Hotellet är ett tre-stjärnigt hotell och motsvarar förväntningarna för ett 3-stjärniga hotell. Ganska lyhört och mittemot kyrkan med klockringningar. Inte mycket att se eller att göra i byn men lantligt område som passar för att jogga eller cykla. Vi skulle återvända för restaurangen men inte bara för att övernatta.

Lovely hotel with an amazing rerstaurant

Everything perfect except our room was at the top of some steep stairs although a lift is planned. When the lift is in, 5 stars all round. A really super bedroom and bathroom. The restaurant is so very good and we ate in a lovely outside courtyard although the inside dining room is lovely to (stayed there in October). Well worth visiting for a comfortable sty and great dining.

Lovely hotel welcoming staff and good accomodation. Had a really good meal in the restaurant excellent food and wine. Be warned how ever address listed on Expedia website is incorrect you will end up 10 kilometres away in another village!
