Myself and my mother stayed in adjacent cottages which were spacious, clean and comfortable, and only had a few steps for my aging mother. The food and staff were excellent and the property/decor was sharp. I'll be back

Great location to take daughter to uni of York, very reasonable for the standard of the hotel and handy that they had an electric car charger. The breakfast could have been better (we had avo crumpet which was pretty mushy) but very minor issue.

The location was excellent for our visit to Breighton 1940s weekend, only 12 minutes away. The cottage was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good quality and presented well. Only problem was the wine on the second night was not very nice but the waitress changed it for us without question and this is something that can happen so not a big problem and did not spoil the weekend. Great that you can park outside the cottage safely.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s a lovely historic building and the current owners have done a great job on the decor. The hosts and their staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful and the food was very good. We really couldn’t fault anything and if we’re travelling this way again we would definitely book again.
