The Hyatt by the Renton Landing is a good hotel but seems to be suffering from the lack of staffing due to pandemic? It is rated a 4 1/2 star but lack of staffing and amenities seems more like a 3 1/2 to 4. The room service was disappointing as it is really just the market store inside the hotel warming up some items and then the cashier running up a quick warmed up to-go box. Not like a full restaurant menu you would expect for room service and the extra fees. The hotel does not have any bell service, so valet helps load your luggage on a cart for you to take up yourself. The restaurant on site is good but the host notified us that a table for 2 will have a 15min wait due to 3 servers called out sick and they don't have much staffing. The manager was carrying out food begrudgingly it appeared. The spa is to be booked via QR code and no front spa desk to greet you. Just meet the therapist at the door it seems.
The rooms are great and come equipped with plenty of plug ins for tech plus a huge tv in the room. The view of the lake is wonderful and the hotel structure is great. It seems like it is more of a business tech travelers hotel than a destination extravagant resort. The kicker is... they tell you at check in this is a Hyatt Destination property with extra amenities and will charge an additional $35 fee on top of the rate per night.
The pool and hot tub is great and the view is why I will still come back.
