"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated, very clean and the staff was polite and helpful. We loved that there were several options for breakfast: full continental breakfast at 16 euros, but also smaller options at 4.50 and 7 euros, which was ideal for us as we do not eat a lot in the morning. There is a vending machine just by the lift, so we could get water. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Regarding the location, I won't lie, the surrounding area is not super nice, with rubbish on the street, however I won't let this affect my rating as it's not the hotel's fault and it's a bit like that everywhere in Brussels as soon as you leave the old town centre. However we felt safe and I wouldn't define the are dangerous at all. Regarding the location, it was really good: 15 minutes walk from Midi Station (so you can easily travel to Bruges/Ghent which are cities I truly recommend!) and 12 minutes from the old town. There are also buses/trams 5-10 minutes away to the Parliament or the Atomium. I would say, if I really have to suggest something extra that would have made our stay even better: - It would be great to have a kettle in the room, just to be able to take a tea in the afternoon or before going to sleep. - The check-in process took quite long, despite we were there at 3pm, the rooms were not ready and we had to wait about an hour. They offered us a drink during the waiting though. Overall very good. "

"A pleasant stay at Latroupe. If you can snag it for a good price, then it's definitely worth it. This place actually has a privacy curtain on the bunks, 2 USB charger ports, as well as a regular outlet, with a convenient shelf. If I'm back in town, I'd like to stay here again."

"Great facility- fridge in room vital in hot weather. Had all essentials- all equipment worked. Local culture nearby. Double glazing and curtains effective in shutting it out when you have had enough of it! "
