Got to get up close and personal to a rescued elephant at the Elephant Conservation Center (ECC) in Laos. This center is also a lodge that has several huts you can stay in. Staying here for three days made my three week trip to Southeast Asia. By far the highlight of my trip! They truly care about the elephants at ECC and sadly that is not something you see at all elephant camps in SE Asia. The staff was amazing and provide an incredible atmosphere to learn about elephant conservation. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to see elephants in Asia to come here. Next to one of the only two bars in Pakbang which was great. Easy to access from the boat pier by walking. Phenomenal and large breakfast to fuel before day 2 of the slow boat.
