J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.」

We were asked what time we would like breakfast and did we want tea or coffee When we arrived in the dining room or breakfast was laid out for us on the table Natural yogurt.apple juice,fruit,various breads butter homemade quince jam and cheese.when we were eating Madame brought in fresh scrambled eggs…from her hens.」

「We arrived in Cherbourg by sailboat, but the journey had been rough and we were feeling cold wet and tired, and wanted a nearby place to recuperate, rather than sleep on our boat in the cold weather. This place was ideal. We had good wash and sleep, and was refreshed for our onward sailing journey.」

「This was in the perfect location for us, and although a couple imperfections (wifi didn't work for us - probably needed to reboot router; room was a little cold - radiator never felt very hot), overall we had a very pleasant stay. Comfy bed, decent en-suite bathroom with spacious shower cubicle. We didn't opt for the breakfast, but the dining room looked nice and the breakfast was reasonably priced at 13 Euros.
