Usually, I am not the type of person to leave negative reviews, but this experience really needs to be shared.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location in the heart of Zona Colonial, and the restaurant downstairs, which is good and affordable.
Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. I made my reservation through Expedia, and when I arrived, the front desk clerk said he couldn’t find my reservation because the internet was slow. After some time, he assigned me a room. I went to sleep, only to be woken up at 12:30 a.m. by a phone call from the same clerk, who told me he had made a mistake and given me the wrong type of room. He mentioned that he could be charged for the error, abruptly hung up, and said he would try to fix it.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., a security guard knocked on my door and asked me to pack my belongings and move to another room. The new room they assigned to me had a dirty floor, which made the situation even more frustrating.
I’m not sure if the staff was having a particularly bad day, but this level of disorganization and lack of consideration for guests is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The location is great, but unfortunately, that is not enough to make up for the poor service and overall experience.
