"The property is rather dated. One of my bedroom windows was missing the lock to have it opened and closed. The A/C was rather old. The room, however was quite spacious as well as the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I was surprised that there was no safety box in the room. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the old town of Santiago de Compostela."

"The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. The main house dates from the early 18th century, with thick granite walls, and has been wonderfully restored with all modern comfort (including good wifi!). The lady from da Estrella spoke at length with the lady at the alternate pension about "bano". Again without attempting to explain that I wouldn't have my own bathroom she promptly left! My new landlady was very sweet even when I explained I would only be staying the 1night instead of two. The person from da Estrella grudgingly refunded...
