We had a pleasant week in Cala d’Or. However, the hotel itself is quite outdated and in need of renovation. The interior felt very old-fashioned, the bed was hard as a rock, and we would not classify this as a four-star hotel. The staff at the reception were fantastic, though, and very friendly throughout the week. We received a bottle of wine as a birthday gift which we really appreciated. The breakfast was definitely above average, but the dining area was extremely noisy, and we weren’t able to sit outside where we wanted, despite there being available seats. The area is nice, but if you want to stay closer to the city (with more restaurants and beautiful beaches), I would recommend another location. We rented a car, which made it much easier for us to explore the island.

We loved our stay at the Rocamarina, the adults only helped, but being just turned 60 we were on the younger side of most guests... lol. The hotel was clean and tidy, ample space in the room, excellent buffet breakfast and we opted for half board evening meal. There is plenty to choose from, and more than enough to try a bit of everything and feel full. We love Cala D'Or, and this hotel is just next door on the map, in Cala Egos, but the marina makes it a fair walk to the tavernas and the main centre. Cala Egos is smaller, and a little quiet, but Cala Pou beach is 2 minutes away and lovely. Staff were all lovely and helpful, especially the lead restaurant waitress who always had a smile and greeting for everyone. Ample free parking. Entertainment matched the clientelle, an was a bit dated for us, 1960's mostly, but the choice is yours. If you want younger stuff then the karioke over the road together with the large tv for the evening sports is always an option. A really nice gentle relaxing stay, with choices to meet most needs A++++

We had a clean modern room and the hotel is well-located to some shops, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and our room’s spacious balcony. Only negative bit of feedback would be that the communal and restaurant areas are a bit dated.

Excellent hotel would definately recommend the food was amazing. Although the average age was retirement. Entertainment was very good and the cleanliness was superb. The staff were very polite and helpful. Hopefully visit again in the future.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever worked remotely from. You’re practically on the beach, the WiFi is superb, and there’s great food options in the hotel itself. I found it easy to fall into a rhythm and enjoy my time. This was my first solo trip and I felt safe and respected my whole time here. Heads up for fellow twenty-something’s though— the hotel is primarily catered towards older folks (aka excellent to work from home!)!

This is first time that we have visited the Rocamarina. We chose a seaview room (definitely worth it) From check in the staff were amazing. Friendly, professional and attentive. This made such a difference to our holiday. The entertainment, restaurant and pool area were brilliant. We'll definately be back 👍😊

Extremely good value for money. We did like the super friendly and supportive staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel, nice views, extremely good breakfast and dinner (buffet). Also close to the beach, in a nice neighborhood. Easy parking. Good entertainment. Nice garden. Silent at night. Only two minor points : Taking a shower in a bath tub is not an ideal situation and the matrasses were quite hard. Overall I don't think you can get more value for money anywhere and else.

The hotel is in a residential area with shops and cafes, bars and restaurants in close walking distance. The hotel restaurant provided a buffet style breakfast and dinner service. Breakfast was excellent with great variety of continental and cooked foods. However, the evening dinner choices were limited and the food was fairly lukewarm. Also, it was disappointing that we were asked to pay additionally for table water. The overall comfort of the hotel was fairly good, and the hotel staff were very friendly. I would stay here again but would dine out for evening meals.

Pros: Very convenient area, close to beautiful beaches. Airport coach transfers just outside the hotel Friendly service and staff Clean hotel and comfortable rooms Entertainment is good cruise vibe but aimed for elderly Good value food went for half board which include breakfast and dinner all you can eat. A very deep pool which is rare to find Cons: The hotel lounge, restaurant and receptions is abit dated and still in the 90s. Upon check in to the rooms there was a cockroach looking bug and mentioned to the receptionist. They called maintenance to use bug spray around the bed but I am asthmatic as mentioned. Majority of the food in buffer was the same flavour and repetitive throughout the week, not much Spanish food. Roast dinner every night Overall as a place to sleep a GOOD memorable experience

I think the hotel was wonderful and the staff were great. The cleaners were awesome. The downfall for us was that even away from the restaurant area in the bar area there is a no smoking rule. I understand this does not affect everyone but it would be great if the hotel had even a small smoking area where you would not have to leave the front doors of the hotel or go to your room and enjoy a drink. Another thing that was not so good was the bar. The cocktails were really below power and the menu needs a big update. The frozen daquiries were basically syrup with not even an ice cube inside. Just think the whole menu needs an update. The only thing that was anywhere near decent was the mojito. Other than the bar the place is spaciuos and wonderful. The staff are super friendly. Breakfast and dinner was always cooked wonderfully by the great chef :)

Fantastic place to stay.

First and foremost the staff! They are amazing every single one of them. Everything from cleaners, receptionists, bar staff and wait staff. So welcoming and friendly, helpful and really sets the tone for the whole hotel. The hotel is fantastically located near the sea with an equally lovely beach restaurant. So glad we chose this part of Cala d'or which is much quieter than the center but still within a pleasant walking distance. In the area around the hotel there are good restaurants, entertainment, small shops, nice beaches and the location is perfect for a quiet and pleasant holiday - exactly what we were looking for. When we extended our stay we had a bottle of wine delivered to our room. Another day when my partner was in a Skype meeting at the computer, the cleaning lady came in with a tray of cups, coffee/tea and a kettle without him asking. Breakfast is great and the pool area never feels to busy even though the hotel were fully booked. There is a lovely grass area with palms and trees where you can seek lovely shadow ans also a nice terrace with sundbeds. We enjoyed ourselves so much and will definitely be back!

Booked this hotel last min as there was an issue with my original hotel. Found this to be an amazing price for the facilities & location but was skeptical bc the price was so much lower than surrounding hotels. Upon arrival I was impressed with how open the lobby was, it was very welcoming. The staff were so lovely & checked us in promptly. The room I admit was a bit outdated in terms of decor but it had everything you needed. I loved the many different large mirrors and the long table included. We got the street view on the 1st floor but it still had a nice view since it was slightly elevated (took many nice photos on this balcony). The booking also allowed free breakfast which we attended the first 2 days however on the 2nd day we were confronted by the maître de and were spoken to really rudely because we “weren’t sitting at the right table”. However we entered the breakfast area and there was no one at the front door so we had no idea there was assigned seating. This is our fault but no one informed us of this (both front desk and manager of the breakfast area). After that happened we never attended breakfast again which was disappointing. Another huge disappointment was the lack of phone reception and hotel wifi we got from our room. We weren’t the furthest room away yet we couldn’t get access to the internet. Howevereverything else was lovely, location was walkable to the eateries and lots of parking out front. Overall I loved my stay here, would definitely book again.
