Clean, modern room with kitchenette. No mugs however so had to improvise with the terracotta pot of cuajada I had just bought.
24 hour reception were very helpful. There was no corkscrew in the kitchenette (screw top wine bottles don't exist) but I asked the elder chap who was on reception duty and he had one and kindly opened the bottle for me. I needed a tin opener (ring pull failed) the following evening but the younger chap on reception helped again. There is a sachet of shampoo and shower gel provided but no little soap to wash your hands. However, there are two supermarkets nearby to stock up on things (closed on Sundays).
There was just a sheet on the bed (no duvet) so it got a bit cool at night.
No television in the room but there is a common room in the basement with a large screen TV and again the elder chap on reception kindly showed me the way to the common room.
There is a bus stop outside and the no. 1 bus stop is just a short walk away. I actually walked from the airport to the Residencia (1.5 hours) and it is very pedestrian friendly.
Would definitely stay again.
The room was exactly as you might imagine for student accommodation in that there was a bathroom, bed, desk and kitchen area. The kitchen had a large fridge with small freezer compartment and there was a microwave and oven top. There were some utensils in the cupboards too. There is a Mercadona about 5-10minutes walk away and a bakery and cafe about five minutes away too. There is a bus stop immediately outside the accommodation. The walk into town takes around 40 minutes and it is very hilly, especially on the way back. Some parts of Santander now have escalators helping you up the hills. There is no soap in the rooms which seems strange, especially in current times. There is a cafe on the ground floor, but I don't know what type of food they sell as the QR codes on the back of the room's door were all expired. WiFi worked well in rooms and for a single bed, it was much wider than the norm so that was good.
There was an issue with the hot water one morning, but it was resolved the same day.
The reception staff was exceptional, at check-in as well with responses to issues. Gracias.
No changing of towels unless you stay more than a week, not enough toilet paper, hair on shower. It’s a university facility converted into a hotel for the summer.

Check-in was a breeze, but the room did not seem to be cleaned before I arrived. The bed was made, but the walls were dirty. The kitchenette also was not clean. More alarmingly, the shower and shower head were crusty and dirty, and there were no towels. I asked, the following morning, for the shower to be cleaned so I may take a shower. I left the property for several hours then came back and it still was not cleaned. Someone stopped by to clean the shower when I was in the middle of freshing up to get dressed and check out. She cleaned the shower head, but not the rest of the shower area and left wet foot prints on the floor. I just wanted to get dress and check out at that point.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Aceptable

No había ninguna sartén disponible.
Volvería a quedarme .
