We stayed 12 nights at Alegria Mar with the all-inclusive option and checked out today. Our room with a sea view was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the location is perfect for both relaxing and exploring the area. A special thanks to Mateos and Jessica, the waiters who made our experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely come back!

Very friendly check-in and the room and hotel are in great condition. I like the area as it’s walkable to a lot. It’s hard to dislike anything other than perhaps the price.

Location was excellent for beach access. Meals were of very high quality and good value with a great range of choices. The hotel was immaculately clean. All staff were highly motivated, friendly and helpful. The room was well proportioned and comfortable with a great shower. The pool was small for the size of hotel and the outside area was cramped unless you went to the (busy) beach. I would definitely go again.

I really enjoyed this adult only hotel. Great location and all amenities in Santa Susanna are easily within walking distance. There was great entertainment every evening at the hotel’s beach bar. I traveled alone and I felt safe here. Enjoy your travels!

Staff were absolutely wonderful, especially the evening reception staff (Miguel and a lovely young lady we didn’t catch the name of sorry!) very helpful, kind and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable, spa was nice and relaxing. Dining was lovely, lots of food options and the waiting staff we very helpful and kind also. It was an all round lovely, relaxing stay. Marvelous Hotel and customer care

Very pleasant stay, all staff very polite and helpful as we are disabled. My wife suffers from chronic neuropathic pain, and couldn't get over the comfort of the bed. she slept like a baby every night. We will definitely be back again.

Top place to stay

My first time to this hotel was in 2018 with my wife who passed away in 2021. The hotel left a deep impression on me and I wished to return to bring back some good memories and I was not disappointed. The hotel is of a very high standard with the high point being the friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness and the quality of food served in the restaurant. I will be returning next year as I have cancelled my thoughts of going elsewhere. My thanks to all at ALEGRIA Mar Mediterrania.

Good location, next to the beach, with lovely views out to sea. A good variety of fresh food, nicely presented with attentive waiting staff. Public areas attractive and spacious. Room basic but bright and clean. Comfortable bed. Hot water in shower unpredictable. Local area however, very noisy. Neigbouring beach bar and hotels with night time entertainment, along with neighbouring campsite, accommodating large numbers of teenagers.

I did all inclusive, this was not a traditional all inclusive only select drinks are included, I would consider if drinks are priority for you look at other hotels which are truly all inc. Food was lovely and hotel clean, spa (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room) limited to 45mins a day and has to be booked in advance. Gym has two machines and a selection of free weights.

Mixed bag. Inexpensive but value is questionable

You can hear everything that happens on your floor, so privacy is a big concern. The front desk staff are great, but kitchen staff were disproportionally pushy, which was strange because the meal service is a buffet. Beds are quite stiff. Spa is nice. All-inclusive food restrictions are confusing and mistakes will provoke the kitchen/bar staff. Night cleaning folks kept us up at night making recreational noise. We eventually became uncomfortable interacting with the kitchen staff and resorted to external restaurants.

First solo trip, hotel was incredible, the reception staff couldn’t do enough to help, assist and guide! Truly amazing! The restaurant staff were not as helpful unfortunately, I was all inclusive and a little intimidated being alone and I felt the staff could have been more encouraging, most days I was nearly finished my food before someone would approach me for a beverage, they would say rather loud, dining alone and then clear the other setting of plates and cutlery from my table, when asking them a question they answered in a very condescending way, it wasn’t overly busy so couldn't understand why I would be treated this way. The food was lovely, loads of options and very fresh! The spa was great and the hours it’s open is fantastic. Housekeeping staff were great. There are so much beer the hotel, an huge strip for food, drinks and shopping. Train station is 6 min walk and takes over 1.5 hour to get into Barcelona city. Overall would highly recommend staying here. Fantastic!!!

This is a beautiful property situated right on Santa Susanna beach. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Food is good, but not excellent. As it is a very expensive all inclusive, we expected that it would have several different kinds of restaurants. Not a buffet style for every meal. We have gone to several all inclusives in different parts of the world, this food definitely is not top quality. The workers in the restaurant are wonderful and friendly, very hard working. The Hotel has some strange rules about where they serve their coffee and alcohol drinks. You could not get a coffee with your meals, except at breakfast, unless you walked up a full flight of stairs. They had lots of desserts…. again good but not excellent. ALL inclusive shouldn’t mean all inclusive. At the bar counter very few drinks were part of the all inclusive, just the basic alcohol drinks absolutely no fancy drinks. That is one thing that every all inclusive we’ve been at have always included. All in all, four out of five is being generous …. it really is more of a three out of five, but because of where it is situated on the beach & many of the friendly, sweet hard workers we gave it four out of five. The Alegria Mar was a great hotel and provides a relaxing atmosphere in a super resort. The quality of the rooms and general areas is perfect. The food both at breakfast and Evening meal was very good with a lot of choice for both Continental tastes and traditional UK tastes.
