"First of all, the room was not cleaned after the previous guest, which is evident by the pubic hairs on the walls of the shower. Mold on the ceiling, smoke detector missing, ice machine broken the entire time so we had to drive and go buy some. Called and was told they would have someone check it out but never did. We booked this particular place because it had a pool also. Well, the code to open the gate to get to the pool wouldn't work. Reached out multiple times and was told that was the right code. Well apparently not because it won't unlock the gate and I guess that's why no one else is in the pool either. Then was told someone would get back to me to make it right and never heard from them again regarding this issue."

"We recently stayed at WaterColor Inn to celebrate our anniversary and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the noise. Throughout our stay, we were kept awake by constant stomping from the room above us, furniture being moved, doors slamming, and children yelling. We spent most of our days out enjoying the area, so the primary purpose of our room was to provide a comfortable place to rest at night. Unfortunately, we got very little sleep during our stay. We also informed the front desk at check-in that we were celebrating our anniversary and were told that something special would be provided during our stay. Nothing was ever delivered or acknowledged, which was disappointing after it had been mentioned to us. Housekeeping was another area that fell short. While our bed was made daily, the sheets were never changed despite sand remaining in the bedding from our beach trips. As a result, we spent the entire stay sleeping in sandy sheets, which was uncomfortable and not what we expected from a property at this price point. The property itself is beautiful and the location is excellent, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Given the nightly rate, we expected a much higher level of comfort, attention to detail, and overall guest experience. While we rarely leave negative reviews, we felt it was important to share our experience for future guests and hope the management team takes these concerns seriously."
