Always fun to stay in a different room at The Vanessie. The staff is super friendly and rooms are nicely finished. The breakfast menu is always delicious and the cook is cheerful with a nice smile. We love staying there on our way to AZ. Highly recommend!!

This was nothing but a horrible experience. I arrived at approximately 3:30 pm to check in. I had called earlier to check that an early check in was possible. When I walked in to the front lobby. The phone was ringing andthe desk clerk had his head down on the desk. Thinking that the ringing phone would wakehim up, I waited. When that didn't happen, I started saying "hello " and "excuse me ". Did not wake up. I walked around to see if anyone else was around that could help me. No luck. Went back to the front desk and again saying hello and excuse me, just a lot lowder now. I finally had to physically shake his arm to wake him up. When he sat up. He acted like nothing was wrong. Fumbled with checking me in. Assumed he needed a credit card for incidentals. Did not. Generated a code a showed me to my room. On Monday night i returned back to my room and not able to get in with my code. Had to call the late night phone number to be able to get in. Jay answered and was able to help me immediately. Now the worst part. On Tuesday morning, I was getting ready to take a shower before I needed to pack up and check out before 11 am. I heard one knock at the front door. Was going to walk to the closet in the front room and grab a robe and then answer the door. When I came out of the bathroom. The front door was wide open and the housekeeper was standing there. I was not clothed. I immediately called the front desk and asked for the manager. Jay did come in to speak with me.

Our room was wonderful. Didn’t feel like we were in a hotel at all. I didn’t know what the expect but was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was also very very good. I loved all the fruit that was available and would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at this property. We were completely blown away. Our room was spacious, cozy and had an amazing bathroom. Breakfast was a very nice touch in the morning. Good food! We will be staying here again!

Check in was strange-the clerk didn't tell us that we were charged for breakfasts. The water is plumbed backwards in the shower so took a while to figure out; the door wasn't very secure as it was busted out; I left a bag with a scarf and 2 pairs of shoes in my room but it has "disappeared." Not much help to find it. Room was Ok but I will not stay at this property again.

The area (neighborhood) was quaint and convenient for walking to the plaza within minutes. It was also quiet being off on a side road away from the main streets. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was large but was missing a few essential items such as kleenex and we had to ask room service for additional body towels, only 1 towel was provided. We were a late check in at 8pm and had no idea where check in was. The check in small table and chair was located in the lounge room where a performance was going on. It was very confusing when finally I asked one of the staff how to check in. She was very helpful and showed me. Other guests arriving late were in the same predicament. There wasn't a designated check in area at the front of the property. And parking was miserable, very tight and difficult to find where to drive into in the dark from the street. Breakfast was EXCELLENT! Kudos to chef. Overall, it was a nice hotel but very unorganized.
