The staff was outstanding...everyone was pleasant and helpful. The room was lovely and very quiet.This was my second stay at Hotel Chimayo and will be my "go to" hotel in Santa Fe in the future.

The hotel is clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic. Our ground floor room looked out onto a sidewalk and road so we didn't open drapes. Very little natural light but we weren't there much so not a big deal. They could put a couple of chairs in the room.

Hotel Chimayo is in a lovely vacation. I had a very nice room. The sitting room furniture isn't very comfortable, but there was plenty of it. My primary complaint is that there was little privacy for me. There was work being done to the exterior of the building and there were guys literally at my door most of the day, so I never was able to open the drapes. The area surrounding the hotel is terrific. Lots of shops, restaurants and museums. I had a lovely stay overall. I felt that it would have been nice for the hotel to notify guests before their stay of the construction.

Excellent boutique and historical property. Everything is within a walkable distance. Great experience. Plan ahead for dining as the better restaurants sell out quickly.

This hotel is steps from the Plaza with an underground parking garage. Perfect location. However, we are elderly and had to walk up two flights of stairs outside to get to our room. If I had known that the elevator doesn’t go to the rooms, I would have asked for a room on the first floor. Carrying all our luggage up from the garage and up two floors on precarious steps was so inconvenient. The room was very nice and comfortable, and we enjoyed the bar for a beer or a margarita.

First the positive: beautiful decor, convenient parking in the garage, clean room, front desk staff was very polite and helpful, and the location is wonderful. It's a gorgeous place! Drawbacks: We had no idea we'd have to drag our luggage up three flights of stairs to get to our room. I had surgery recently and am still under lifting restrictions so would not have chosen this hotel had I known ahead of time. I looked on the website after check-in to make sure I hadn't missed the stairs situation, but saw no mention of it anywhere. Yes, we could have gotten help with the luggage but that entails a tip and we've honestly already spent a lot of money just to be here... Make sure to ask if your room will require using the stairs. This is a beautiful, clean hotel, but this will keep us from staying here on our next trip to Santa Fe.

excelllent distance to Santa Fe square and beautiful courtyard and spacious rooms. Smell of smoke from fireplace and lack of light in rooms are negative.

The property is very old and we couldn’t watch any TV. We had a maintenance man come to the room but found out that they don’t have cable or any way to watch news or movies.
