A last minute booking brought us to this picturesque hotel with restaurant. On arrival we noticed it was quiet, just the birds. No movement. No people. No cars. Doors locked. The official season opening of the hotel/restaurant was in a week. Apparently we had booked the apartment on site. This meant no staff, no hotel services including breakfast, cleaning or possibility to dine. But it didn't take long to see that there was exceptional service. They open the hotel especially for us, we got a beautiful room with an extra bed that we can stay in. That same night a kitchen staff came in and came back every day of our stay. In the morning a luxurious breakfast was served, everything we wanted was prepared in the kitchen. I have never been so touched by the friendliness and incredible service we received.

Totalmente recomendado.

Nuestra experiencia en La Torre del Vilar ha sido maravillosa. Las personas que trabajan en el hotel son un encanto, Judit, Sonia y Arturo hacen que la estancia sea como estar en casa. Cualquier necesidad que tengáis, ellos os ayudan o facilitan que se cumpla. Ha sido una estancia maravillosa. Seguro que repetimos!!

Hotel rural, masia catalana cuidada al detalle. Decoracion impresionante con detalles antiguos. Quiero pensar que han tenido un mal dia, pero una noche interminable sin aire acondicionado, un almuerzo justito que empieza por un zumo caliente en verano, y una presion del staff para que comieramos apartir de las 15.30H pq tenian un bautizo, hace con total seguridad un no volvemos, no recomendamos

Nice hotel but overpriced

We stayed here 2 years ago and had a memorable experience due in no small part to the excellent food served by the then owner/chef who retired earlier this year. I am afraid to say that the food is now only average and was a complete let down on what we had been looking forward to.

great property with beautiful views from a big outdoor patio . situated in foothills of the Pyrennees and you can see the tall peaks in the distance. One does have to carry ones bags up to second floor rooms in the hacienda style home/hotel. chef was very friendly and Spanish speaking only. though things worked out well using a translator App on the phone. dinner looked great but our choices turned out to be very mediocre. breakfast was very elegant, bountiful and delicious. the room was good . mattress a bit old and saggy. bathroom very modern but with few hooks for towels and space for wash bags etc. I would return if in the area despite the out-of-the-way location because it is a unexpectedly grand hacienda.

Retired couple from Sant Cugat.

A beautiful house in which to relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside, close to Vic and other interesting villages. Arturo looked after us really well and we loved the breakfast which featured local produce, and the lunch and dinner which were delicious. We'll definitely stay there again.
