"Room was clean but dated, with random screw sticking 1 cm out of the floor carpet, creating a trip/cut hazard. Breakfast, which we paid for, was not served until 800 am, and we had to leave for the airport at 700 am, so received no breakfast. Not even coffee was available at 700 am, as far as we could tell. No gasthaus staff were present when we checked in at 600 pm or when we left at 700 am, and the restaurant was not operating. "

"A poor choice by us. No sense of comfort after a long drive along the Alpenstrasse. Old mis-matched and shabby furniture. I’ve stayed in worst places but don’t remember when. "This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It was perfect. It is an easy walk through the pedestrian free zone. The location is perfect. The bus stop is just a block away. The lake is two blocks away. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast room was large and very pleasant. The food was abundant and offered many choices. The check in was easy and the front desk people were very friendly and offered many suggestions regarding activities and sights to see. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Zelle am See again. It was such a great value. "
